Good lunch and nice staff

Dropped in here for a midday lunch. Had the roast of the day (lamb) which was really good and well priced ($15) and my wife had a chicken schnitzel which was ok but appeared frozen and deep fried ($20) which we thought could have been better. Staff were really nice and coffee was good. Would go back again but would ask before ordering as to fresh or frozen food.

Good Tasting Pub Food

Visited before flight from nearby Launceston Airport, good menu choice, portion size was good as was presentation and most importantly the food tasted very nice. Staff and service was efficient and friendly.

Look the food, the service and the ambience of the Perth hotel was woeful, to say the least. very limited selections no Vegetarian options, unless you really want a bowl of chips or wedges. When the food finally arrived, it arrived in stages. Wedges served 15 minutes before the Garlic bread which preceded the Chicken schnitzel 15 minutes later and the side order of chips another 10 after that. The food was near inedible, This is my opinion and stated without malice. the garlic bread was under cooked, the butter hadn't melted properly. the potato, cauliflower and peas, not nice. the sliced carrot, although overcooked, was edible The gravy I asked for never arrived... On what we experienced here today, we would not return.

Lovely experience! Great meals with generous portions

First impression of FOH staff was great. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. We were unsure as to what to expect as there we did not see many reviews. However we were absolutely delighted with our meals! The BBQ ribs were delicious. The meat was tender and falling off the bone. Pork belly was great too. A generous serving with perfect crackling. We enjoyed a great experience! We’ll be back.

Delicious pub meal

My friend and I arrived in Perth for the first night of our Tasmanian holiday. There were many choices for dinner which is why we chose the Queen’s Head Inn. So glad e did. I ordered the crumbed Tasmanian scallops while,my friend had the chicken parmigiana. Both meals were very generous and both meals were delicious. Each meal came with chips and salad and usually I don’t bother with the salad as it’s usually uninteresting. But not so this one. The salad seemed to be a cross between coleslaw and traditional salad and was lovely. The staff were pleasant, courteous and efficient. In our week long stay in Perth, we will probably visit here again for dinner.

I recently visited Tasmania and had a drink and meal at this establishment and to be perfectly frank, it was bloody awful. I have had Boags beer many times and have always enjoyed it. The beer I had this particular night was as flat as can be - no head and certainly no bubbles evident. In fact I can’t remember not finishing a beer, prior to this, but I couldn’t drink it. I ordered Tasmanian Scallops and they came out looking like deep fried marbles - they were awful. I guess it’s fair to say - I will never return.....😇

An excellent pub meal

I had the Chef’s special of Shepherd’s Pie and vegetables today. I was so impressed to see the fresh and interesting vegetables instead of the hard cauli and broccoli often served in local pubs. The tomato and zucchini with gratin, carrot and parsnip baked as well as other fresh veggies, and the beautiful pie with rich mince sauce and creamy mash was a treat. Thankyou Chef!

Both hotels in Evandale fully booked out & luckily for us spontaneous dinner at Perth, Queens Head, was wonderful - large, wholesome, well priced, good service, value for money.

Please if you are planning on trying this place Don’t! No vegetarian options at all. Main meals were delivered with entree! Did ask for gravy still waiting! Service haphazard! Unable to consume meal basically inedible!

I went with my family to enjoy dinner. I ordered along with my family and everyone had they food long before me and finished. I waited over an hour and a half for my meal this service is appalling. After asking three times for my meal it finally comes out!! . I definitely won’t be coming back!!

This place could be so much better. Went on a Tuesday and were the only table in the house. Several meal choices weren't available and the food that did come out was average. Overall it was ok but probably wont be going again anytime soon.

Good food and friendly service at the Perth Hotel. Steak was terrific. I have also had the pasta with home made bolognese sauce which was really good. A nice place to stop on a cold Winters night.
