Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The walk kicks off from a carpark in Cook Street where there’s picnic tables and a toilet block. The walk is a mixture of track, beach and pathway. Because of its nature, it’s not an accessible hike. About halfway around you reach the marina which is a useful rest, drink or munchies break. A pleasant walk, although it is slightly annoying that some beachfront homeowners appear to be making a bid to takeover the foreshore area.

Sweeping views across the coast with very caring surf lifesavers. Can be quite rough at times, but the views make up for it.

We have ate at the restaurant several times in past 3 years but this visit was a real disappointment . The menu was a reduced menu that really only offered prawns in a couple of guises . So the choice was poor and really only large snacks , nothing compared to the offerings in past visits. If these were snacks then it was pretty expensive ! My only thought was that they had lost their cooking staff and could only offer simple micro wave dishes but had not adjusted the pricing . Very dissapointing .

We come to this beach regularly to go swimming, body boarding and for walks along the beach and always enjoy ourselves. Lovely place to come enjoy an afternoon with the family, as a couple, with friends or solo.

Soldiers Beach at Norah Head is safe(patrolled), long, clean and inviting. It has plenty of parking-- either top carparks or main near the surf club. You can relax at tbe kiosk at the top carpark or access food and drinks down near the beach. The surf club is fairly new and well equipped and lovely to sit on the upstairs verandah and admire the view of the rolling waves. Food is lovely and reasonably priced. Would recommend a visit.

clean clear waters, whales swimming past and patrolled. What more can you ask for. There's a kiosk near the main car park & a bar/restaurant in the SLSC, although we didn't get a chance to partake. Has fabulous view though

I took a friend who is in a wheelchair and wanted to see the ocean. I contacted the SLSC first and they informed me that they do have disabled toilets and, though we didnt end up using it this visit, a beach wheelchair so I could take her down onto the sand if she wanted! The area around the club was nice and flat so she was able to park her chair at the top of the stairs for a great view. We had lunch from Boaties cafe at the surf club and the food was great and reasonably priced. We enjoyed a nice relaxing couple of hours.

We love going to Soldiers Beach, it is a beautiful part of the world! You can walk for miles if you want, there are rock pools to explore and we’ve even seen dolphins frolicking in the water.

Sunset Bar is the perfect spot to watch the surfers and enjoy the surroundings. Sitting up on the balcony give a great view of the ocean and beach goers. The staff are wonderful and remember you. We just love coming here of an afternoon for a beer and relax.

This popular spot was a delight in the winter sun -would be no good on a windy day. Coffee was great. Banana Bread hot and tasty. Lots eating lunch which looked good and smelt divine. Good range of choices.

The balcony at Soldiers is fabulous place for a beer on a sunny afternoon when a Nor'easter is blowing. If the wind is from the south or southeast, forget it. Food used to be great but they are under new management so can't really comment though have heard it is a bit more expensive.
