Once again my wife and I were not disappointed. Can't really say any more with the recent (well deserved) publicity but it is true.

This was a combined birthday treat for myself, my daughter and her husband. Overall we were disappointed. One of the courses on the tasting menu was a slice of sour dough bread with sour butter. The tasting drinks were particularly small measures. Very expensive for...More

Quite a range, all the usual cooked items, porridge, etc, the breakfast was very good but not experimental, it is served to you - not a buffet

No only double beds. For that reason we stayed at the Feathers in Helmsley and took a taxi there. Recommend the Feathers!

Michelin-starred Restaurant. 4 AA Rosette Restaurant. AA 5 Star Rooms. "This is an extraordinary place, a true one-off. Unbeatable."- Alastair Sawday's. The Black Swan is dynamic with a truly creative and innovative team developing new ideas from a constantly refreshed palate of produce which we grow and forage ourselves. Guests experience something unique - an intimate reflection of our character, our place and our lives which is in essence "Oldstead Now". Stylishly grounded in tradition and culture yet cut through with a modern earthy, exuberant creativity and the occasional glimpse of eccentricity.
