Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not only a wonderfully kept historical site it such a friendly place for wonderful food and I highly recommend the Guiness Pie - has got to be hands down the best I have even had. The choices are so varied but this is a go...to place for us for any occasion and I do try and choose something different but my fall back is and always will be the Pie,it is sensational.More

Amazing! 5stars. Customer Service. Food. Atmosphere. It was all fantastic. The venue was quite busy. We did not wait long for our food. Dan was our waiter and hands down the best waiter in the house. He was friendly and very helpful. He was great...with our kids. Made them feel all important when asking them all for their own orders. Food came out hot and fresh. I had the steak sandwich. It cooked perfectly. We will be back!! My daughter picked Rose & Crown, and I'm super happy she did.More

It's been a very long time since I visited the Rose and Crown and to be honest, I don't know why. We arrived a little early for our Mother's Day lunch, with the table booked for indoors. As it was a lovely Autumn day, the...staff were kind enough to change this so that we could sit outside in the garden. Two menus to choose from - daily menu and the Mother's Day menu. The waiter took our drink order first, and gave us plenty of time to select from the food menu. We chose the roast of the day - pork and beef, and both dishes were presented well. We were given some time to relax before being asked about dessert and coffee. The staff are very friendly, the menus have plenty to select from, a decent drinks menu with a good representation of WA wines, and yummie desserts. A lovely atmosphere being Mother's Day, with lots of families enjoying a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I highly recommend the Rose and Crown and can't wait to return.More

First time dining in the restaurant on Friday night after being recommended by family. Will definitely be returning. Could not fault the service with very friendly wait staff and all of the meals were absolutely superb. Well done Rose & Crown.

Booked accommodation for three nights for a peaceful weekend. Went out for half an hour Sat and NO PARKING AVAILABLE upon my return. Office staff stated no parking is reserved for motel rooms!! So feel free to pay $220 per night for a room that...you cannot park at or even near. No trolleys or assistance available to get from car to room either. DO NOT RECOMMEND this place for accommodation...More

We had pleasant lunch here I the shade of trees and umbrellas. The food was quite good, but not outstanding. What most impressed me was the service. Orders are taken at the table! We were served by a very efficient young man, who, I subsequently...learnt, came from Catania, Italy. What a change to have such a professional waiter in Perth. He was constantly paying attention to the clients, and very helpful. What an asset to this establishment! Don't let him go!More

Came for the first time with friends a week ago and was blown away with how fantastic the food was. My husband and I had the Beef and Guinness pie, which was the best presentation of the dish I have ever seen. So impressed returned...with the whole family the following Sunday. We ordered scallops and the Turkish bread with dips. These were delicious. There was a mix of mains orders of Sunday lunch, the pie and the Parmigiana. The whole family raved over their meal. The pork on the Sunday lunch was one of the best I have ever tasted. Fantastic food, fantastic service and can’t wait to come again. Very interesting building steeped in history and so welcoming.More

Will never go there again, we sat in the garden at 5.30pm on a Saturday, my parents wanted to order off the a la carte menu and myself and wife wanted to order off the var menu.. Apparently this is not possible, my parents would...have to eat in the restaurant and we would gave to eat in the garden 5 metres away... Have never seen anything so stupid.. will never be back. I have run kitchens as a chef manager for 30 years and you obviously put yourselves above customers.it is a surprise you have been in business for 20 years with such a negative customer service experience. The guildford hotel gained our business where they were very accommodatingMore

What a wonderful way to bring in your 40th lap around the sun. The team at the Rose & Crown were very lovely and went above and beyond to make my milestone birthday a memorable one. Everyone loved the selection of pizzas and the relaxed...garden setting. Not to mention the live music where the musician sang happy birthday during the cake reveal. Even when the candles blew out from the wind, Bec was on hand to save the day. This has been by far the best birthday I’ve had and I’m so grateful I was able to share the day with family and friends at the Rose & Crown.More

Popped in here for a refreshing beverage while in Guildford. Plenty of seating available and the place is just fantastic. Love the greenery; appreciated the misting tubes; nice vibe all round. Drinks and meals are priced well and we enjoyed good service and good refreshments.

Attended the Hotel for a 50th birthday in the stables area, that started a great night. Service and staff wonderful. To end the night we booked into a room and went to the restaurant. WOW what a meal. The meal the service and the atmosphere...was the best we have had in a very long time, including some so called 5 star establishment. Our compliments to all the staff including the Chefs who gave us the best flavored meal ever. The deserts were to die for. Congratulations we had the best night. Highly recommended.More

We had booked here for lunch in the garden. I had a call the night before the booking to say it was going to be really hot and did we want to change to inside in the air conditioning. Straight away I felt that this...was a restaurant that cared about their customers comfort. We arrived and had Lee Cooper as our waitress. Wow! She was amazing. She made us feel so welcome with wine and food recommendations. We didn’t find out until later that she had only been working there for a week. She is a real asset to the company and I hope they hang on to her. We both ordered one of the specials, gold band snapper on a cauliflower purée. It was delicious, the chef did an amazing job. We then sat for a while enjoying a couple of glasses of wine before ordering rhubarb tart which was amazing. We really appreciated that we could sit and chat without feeling rushed to leave. When it came to pay they happily let us split the bill. I thoroughly recommend this venue and look forward to returning again.More
