The traditional pilafi was excellent. As was the grilled pork belly. Too much food was served but all of it was excellent. Would recommend.

The food was good, beachfrom location - perfect. Chlidren friendly. The service however was miserably slow. We had to wait 10 minutes for the menus and the 15 minutes to be served drinks. The bread and olive oil arrived together with the starters - normally it comes earlier.

Went here 3 out of 4 nights while in Crete and each time it was amazing. Each time we ordered something different and each dish was delicious. Welcoming staff and perfect location with an amazing view of the beach and sunset at night. They also have wine from the area which is a must order. Highly recommend visiting here while... More

Place was fantastic. We ate here 3 times in 4 days and regretted not eating here all four days. We had something different every time and everything was exceptionally well prepared and fresh. The view is also spectacular at sunset and the price is very reasonable. I highly recommend to anyone. One of the best places we've eaten on our... More

Excellent traditional food in a relaxed setting overlooking the sea. This is a place of locals in an out of the way place. A real gem that is a place to try for great value . The service is slow but take it as it is and don't expect speed. Just enjoy the experience.

We had been three days there and despite the fact that the first day lunch was really good the other two times we came accross some mediocre dishes. Briam (chopped vegetables cooked in the oven with tomato sauce) were on the really low end. The sauce was watery. We asked fava (mentioned in the menu) sorry we don't have it... More

This is our 5th or 6th time eating at Ippokampos. We just finished our fresh and very tasty Greek salad, the grilled octopus was juicy and well prepared and the cooked lamb with tomato sauce and potatoes was yummy! Super service! These guys deserve fantastic reviews, every time we came here for dinner we left happy after enjoying a fabulous... More
