With a reputation for fantastic food and fabulous service it's a must. The 3 of us were there for lunch. We were not too hungry, so decided on two pizzas. They came in a reasonable time - tasted homemade and were delicious. A doggy bag was provided for the few left overs. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The meals are reasonable priced. A seniors menu is also provided.
Inside the tavern the atmosphere is relaxing and cool. There is also an area set aside for children to play and at the same time for parents to keep an eye on them. Berry Springs is about a half hour drive from Darwin on the Stuart Hwy. Certainly worth another visit when next in Darwin.

Very good food with a choice of indoor and outdoor tables. For seniors, a $15/meal, (5 choices) is available Mon-Fri all day. The meals are substantial and well priced. Nice cold beer and ciders, HH from 5 to 6 during the week on tap products.

Take a break at the Tavern on your way back from Litchfield Park to Darwin or when visiting the Territory Wild Life Park. The food is delicious (they even have seniors specials), they have a small menagerie with goats, emus and a resident croc and Daniel the manager friendly and helpful. We’ll definitely be back!

Firstly, lets start up by saying I’m not picky when it comes to eating out. I don’t care whether the food is bad (when I’m eating out with my family with kids anyway). However, if you think waiting 70 mins for three serves of chicken nuggets and a soup is acceptable, then you must be out of your mind. Also, kids aren’t allowed in the “bar”, which should be fine, but the owners consider the WHOLE indoor area of the restaurant a bar! We had to sit out in the heat for that whole waiting period. The Darwin sun for over an hour gave a member of my group low blood pressure which shouldn’t’t necessary when going out to lunch. In the end had to cut our losses, losing our money, and go to the KFC down the road cause the food never arrived. Ruined our afternoon plans for the rest of the day.

Hi Nathaniel, I am positive you have the wrong venue. Firstly we don’t have soup on our menu. Secondly our bar area and alcohol sales are secondary to our food business which is focused on quality meals and outstanding service for which we are renowned for and regulate recognised for. I am confident there is absolutely NO WAY this would have happened at my venue. We are family focused with 2 kids play areas. One inside (with kids TV playing) and one outside. Our kids menus have colouring in and are all offered with pencils on arrival. We focus specially on being an inclusive and welcoming family friendly environment.
A lot of our diners choose to sit outside at our venue as we have large 6m undercover verandahs with many ceiling fans.
There is absolutely no way anyone has waited 70 minutes for nuggets in our venue in the 7 years we have been open. Our kids meals are cooked first every order.
And we don’t have any KFC near of our venue…

Sadly we had lunch today at the Tavern. We both had terrible meals. The chips were smothered with salt - I was told I needed to order no salt - and they were lukewarm - the lamb in the wrap was cold and the tomato invisible. My friends scotch Fillet at $32 was very fatty and the mashed spuds were lumpy and cold. And the salad could hardly be called a salad

Thanks for your comments. The chips are lightly seasoned with salt prior to plating up, Myself and others find them quite bland without, however we are mindful of everyone's personal preferences and absolutely happy to serve them without this seasoning any time should you prefer. We have a very good, consistent and reputable meat supplier, and for that we don't negotiate on quality and may pay more for a premium product, given the very steep recent meat price increases we have worked hard to maintain the affordability of our meals and believe that at $32 the 300g scotch fillet meal is costed out effectively and is reasonable value and very competitive with other venues. The marbling and fat characteristics of scotch fillet are indicative of that cut of meat and are what contribute to it being both flavoursome and tender. Could i recommend a rump or Eye fillet as a much leaner alternative? We have both on the menu. I believe you did chat with the team on the day and they relayed that they were very accommodating in trying to recover your experience and meet your needs. I'm sorry to hear that what would normally be deemed outstanding service and recovery was not deemed as such by you. From the very many positive reviews on both our food and service I believe we have both a quality product and service and apologise this is not what you perceived on your visit. We would welcome an opportunity for you to visit again and give us another go, Team BST

What a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon - go for a drive and have lunch at the Berry Springs tavern. Choices abound for indoor outdoor seating, great service and very good pizza.
Beers were cold, service was great and the atmosphere was one where you just wanted to kick back and enjoy.

Great food and great service! Lovely staff and a great vibe. Chicken Parmi was a proper butterflied chicken breast and cooked to perfection! Chicken pie was delish as was everything else. Worth a stop in for sure!

Hands down the friendliest and most authentic staff I’ve ever met in an establishment. We ordered a gin cocktail and they had sold out but the bartender created one with similar ingredients that was delicious. Very happy with the service!

This was my first time here and I met a client for a midweek lunch.
WOW… wasn’t I surprised! TBH I didn’t really have any expectations at all, which is what made me even more surprised.
This place is immaculate. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and tidy. None of the mouldy carpet and beer smell you often get in country pubs.
The staff were all happy and energetic, and the drinks were perfectly cold.
Their menu is comprehensive and the food was by far the best pub meals I’ve seen in a very long time.
Thanks so much, will definately be back when next in Darwin.

We did a day trip to Berry Springs and on the way stopped to have lunch at the Berry Springs Tavern. Service was slow and in fact they forgot to make our drinks so i had to go ask for them, but the food was lovely once it arrived. Hilarious the Helicopters have their own landing zones out the front! Great place to stop have a drink and a feed before continuing on exploring.

Choice of airconditioned dining room or fresh air on the veranda.
I chose the Chicken Snitzel with Laksa topping and absolutely loved the flavour. We were a table of 9 and we all enjoyed our visit. The Irish waitress, sorry don't have her name went out of her way to be helpful. Also visited the bottlo for take away.

Great atmosphere with plenty of tables inside or out on the covered deck. Lots of parking. Large menu. Good service. Meals huge. Chicken Parma nice but needed more salad. Burger great! Beef wrap not very hot. Chicken chilli wrap way too much garlic aoli and I left half. Bit pricey. This place is very busy weekends and public holidays so book ahead or avoid. Personally wouldn’t bother again.

On the way back from Litchfield National Park, we stopped here and were so glad we did. The atmosphere was nice, the staff polite, and the Laksa Schnitzel (wow). My hubby had the Steak Sandwich with bacon 🥓 which was so tasty. A must stop venue!!

Walking in, looks amazing, love the design and smell of leather. That’s as far as the positives go. Outdoor furniture not cleaned, spiderwebs on legs of all tables. Food is over priced. Ordered mega burger and it was cold and I mean cold! Sooo disappointed !

HI There, Thanks for your visit, review and comments. We are located 60 odd km out of the city in Darwin's rural area in the bush so yes sometimes those sneaky little bugs and their homes are present. Sometimes outside there are flies even occasionally mosquitoes... but to be honest you don't get to enjoy the amazing rural ambiance we have without some of those things occasionally. Our venue is comprehensively cleaned each day. We have some beautiful repurposed wooden furniture inside but no leather anywhere.
The menu has been carefully designed, trialled and developed over the last 7 years. We listen carefully to our customers, we source the best quality ingredients (often despite it's cost), we make just about every item / sauce from scratch in our venue and we frequently get reviews on how amazing the meals are and value for money. So I am sorry you don't agree but we believe we are pretty well on the mark with pricing vs quality vs portion size vs competitiveness.
Now a cold burger - well I agree that's not ok. Our team on the day are best placed to quickly respond to and resolve things like this. Occasionally we have slip ups in product and / or service delivery (we are human after all) and based on this the best we can do in listen to you at the time, assess and recover. From here I am not able to know if you talked with my team about your concerns on the day. If you did and they didn't respond well (which would be highly unusual and very disappointing for me) then I extend my apologies. If you chose not to allow us an opportunity to address and recover and instead walk away and let everyone know on and electronic platform then I am also sorry as in pondering your dissatisfaction you have not afforded my business or team a reasonable process to resolve this and potentially have you walk away happy. Perhaps we can welcome you back and see if we can get it spot on for you next visit? Team BST

Yesterday I visited my beloved pub. Had lunch with a local girlfriend who never visited before. Both tired mums. One special occasion to have lunch together. It was amazing. The atmosphere, the care of staff. Our meals perfect. So happy we decided to take the 20 minutes drive out bush. We stayed for 4 hours.
