Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

7 of us dined here, we had a variety of dishes starting with a cheesey garlic bread x3, we asked if they could be cut into slices in the kitchen, No was the answer here’s a knife,Ok. Followed by chicken schnitzel with chips and salad & bacon n garlic gravy, Perch & veggies, chilli beef nachos, crumb cutlets & veggies, steak & veggies, butter chicken curry & another curry, let’s just say No one finished their entire meal why? Not because of the generous portions, But the lack of flavour & taste was a major disappointment. This couple will definitely not return to dine here.

Was looking for a destination for a bike ride with friends for lunch and decided on here even after reading a few bad reviews so I’m here to boost there reviews as I can’t comment on past experiences of punters but we had 6 meals and no complaints. Locals were happy to chat and selling raffle tickets for some good looking meat. We will be going back and probably camp at Red Rock when School goes back. What a great hideaway that is. As for the Amble Inn meals great and would only say maybe crank the air conditioner and close the doors to keep the flys out. Photo is Garlic Prawn and Chorizo Pizza my wife and I shared. Very Nice.

We were looking forward to a dinner out at The Amble Inn on Friday and on arriving found the menu had changed within the last few days. On the last two occasions we enjoyed Lamb Cutlets and Garlic Prawns which were lovely and they had been removed from the menu. How disappointing! It is now a basic Pub Menu with higher prices and no specials board. If the menu doesn’t improve we won’t return. I believe it would be a locals hotel and am sure they would be disappointed with the changes too.

It is the worst place to eat in the region. There's been this recurring racist treatment towards me over the few years topnotch bistro took over from good old Rustic bistro. It is shocking to understand why the business owner can yell at clients, delay meal preparations and have no remorse whatsoever, instead you get yelled at! Today was the worst after a while of giving it a break, I asked nicely for a take away pack to take the tasteless chewy medium rare steak away, and the business owner actually said if I gave her my meal to pack, she will throw it in the dustbin, this is after she yelled at me with at least 16 angry utterances. Apart from the rudeness, their food is totally horrible, waste of money, menu is absolutely limited and their specials are not special. No wonder people who go to the Amble Inn Pub order in food from SeaView Tavern delivered to them while still at the Amble, they cook real poorly.I won't recommend topnotch bistro. It is unfortunate it is situated in such a well managed and comfortable pub such as Amble Inn. Amble Inn must get in totally new bistro with well cultured staff, not rude racist egomaniacal with no actual catering talents. I don't know how rude people can run a business, wish them good luck

Oh dear. It’s quite simple to serve pub food but $20 for a chicken schnitzel? $15 for the meal and $5 extra for creamy sauce. Can’t complain about the chips or salad but see if you can spot the chicken? Folks, is it just me, but I always believe I’m paying for a single chicken breast.

The food was absolutely disgusting, deep fried, tasteless, dripping oil. Absolutely inedible and mis-advertised on the “specials” board. Bar staff were abrupt and extremely rude. The garlic bread was nice, but that was the only positive experience of our afternoon. We parked at the front of the car park as it was vacant, and while we were sitting in the sun, not eating our lunches, several locals turned up in their rusty utes and yelled complaints across the half empty car park about us taking their car spaces. Absolutely awful experience, which is a shame because the building and location were absolutely beautiful, and the young lass taking orders at the bistro was a sweetheart.

Second worst pizza I have ever seen (see a previous review of mine). The pizzas we ordered were made on a frozen pizza base that was simply not cooked on my wife's pizza and half cooked on mine (the other half was sort of cooked and burnt on the edges). The amount of cheese added to the top of the pizza was unnecessary (but I suppose that's a personal taste thing). My wife spoke to the person who prepared and "heated" her pizza and received a refund. I was offered another pizza to take away, as I had eaten half of mine, which I politely declined.

Gr8 pub food. Quality, quantity and price was gr8 value. I would rate this tavern as one of the best consistent pub dining experiences I have every year I holiday down at Corindi Beach.

Such a shame they always serve bad food. As a local would love to have somewhere decent to go. Vegies undercooked, no flavour. Deep fried food always dripping in oil. No care or love put into the dishes. Last time I go there, will be sticking to the takeaway shop now. Maybe time to sell up for the owners or get some help?

Our once great local pubs bistro has sadly sunk under new ownership. Once a great selection of tasty & consistent meal options has been replaced with poor and limited menu option. They seriously need to get their kitchen in order and provide better quality than what has been on offer so far. I understand there is a take over period with trial & error, but locals and visitors will vote with their feet and go elsewhere. Good food will attract customers and patronage to return. I hope they can address and fix the ordinary food before it’s too late!

This was probably the worst meal I’ve had in my life. The pumpkin risotto was not a risotto, if it was meant for a baby then maybe that would have been acceptable. It was basically puréed pumpkin. The other meals ordered were steak, all overdone. The only redeeming item on the plate was the chips which anybody can take from a frozen packet and cook.

The Amble is going down hill with the change of ownership, they have added another poker machine area taking over the beautiful open glass bistro area out the back. We still have to put up with the stink of the smokers at the front, no change there ... "great first impression". The best food on the coast has gone ... God help the Amble Inn.

Very nice food and friendly staff. Would love to say that we will be back but because they are not dog friendly in their beer garden (or anywhere) we wont be able to return. A pity because the caravan park next door at Corindi Beach is dog friendly and they would be missing out on all that business

Have been going to trivia since 2018. Used to be good food but in last 6 months has deteriorated to really poor quality meals. Overpriced for what is offered. The lighting in the pub is atrocious and you have to walk past the foul smell of smokers right at the main entry. Think twice about eating there!

Great food at an affordable price. I had the Parmageddon which we probably could have shared and came with a middy for $20. My wife had the rump steak which was $17..50. Both came with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. Now called the Corindi Beach Hotel.
