Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We decided to try out the Port Adelaide Pancake Kitchen. We were greeted most pleasantly by a lady staff member and shown to our table. The decor and layout is certainly different to the PK in the City which is probably a good thing. I see there have been some very good reviews since it opened but that was not our experience. We found the pancakes to be dry, doughy, heavy with no flavour other than the chosen garnishing. We simply could not finish them. It all seemed a tad expensive as well. 2 serves of pancakes with a cup of tea and coffee cost $46. At 3am this morning I was awake and felt like I had a lump of lead in my stomach. The cup of tea was tepid at best. I suspect it had been made too early and left sitting because it had brewed OK but barely warm. Perhaps we just visited on an off night as our experience is at odds with many others. I hope the place does well and maybe we will give it another try sometime to see how it compares to our first visit.

Clean venue. Friendly staff. Full COVID safe venue allowing customers to view menu on their own phone, place the order and pay. If this is not your thing the waitresses will provide table service. My son and I had a serve of bacon and eggs on pancakes with hollondaise sauce, two stack pancake with maple syrup and whipped butter and a milkshake. Quick service and ample serve size to feel satisfied. Support the locals!

Came here for lunch and a coffee on Friday afternoon with a small group of friends. Absolutely fantastic meals and the staff were lovely. Be aware before you go that meals is currently done via the phone app due to covid.

Really disappointed as the location is great right on the water. Were seated indoors but offered a 10% discount if we ordered online. This wasn’t that easy to as had to create account etc and do a second Covid checkin. All drinks and syrups, sugar etc were in disposable containers so not interested in reducing waste or serving tea in a real cup. Coffee tasted awful and food was really bland. A lot of tinned or packaged food used not homemade but charging homemade prices. Will not be going again. Will find somewhere that takes pride in producing a great tea and coffee not just pumping out food like a Maccas.

Me and my kids went to Port Adelaide for a dolphin explorer cruise. After the cruise ended, we went to this restaurant. We sat down at a table and ordered. We payed $40.00. We waited 40 minutes for our food. A lady came and said our order was not counted in because the wi fi was down. Our food came eventually. I ordered two pancakes, bacon, hash brown and a egg. My bacon and egg were dry, my hash brown tasted worse than the McDonald’s one and my pancakes were stuck together and flavourless it took 2 cans of maple syrup to make it better. For all parents and people out there, I do not suggest this restaurant to anyone. You will consider cancelling your order. 😩😩😩

If I could give a 0 star I would, says on website orders until 130pm closing at 2pm, turn up at 115pm to closed signs on door. Wife ask the girl serving can we order and got a rude smart look of no, we tried to ring and check but didn't answer the phone. You try and support a business who has had troubles to closure of pancake kitchen restaurants and then you get rude customer service if you can call it that and clear change from what the business website offers

I was hoping for a nice experience - not to be. As mentioned before there is no system to being seated. They said we could have table service or use the Qkr! code. Only they took so long to get to us we went up to order. So some of our group used the code; some went up to order and eventually someone came to take our order. Noone was friendly. It was like feed 'em and ship 'em out as quickly as humanly possible. We had a vegan customer with us and her meal was disgusting. No effort had been made to present a suitable meal. I felt so sorry for her. It was so stuffy my son had to go out for fresh air. There is ONE unisex toilet for a place that receives many customers. Line ups for the toilet near our table. We won't be back.

I’d love to leave a review for this place but I cannot. Sign on the door stated in very large font that they were open until 4pm on Sundays, the day we visited. We were there at 3.30pm and only wanted coffee, but were told, no, sorry, we are closed now.

I took my 9 years old daughter there for breakfast. She loved it, so did I. The staff were really friendly and it only took a couple of minutes from ordering until the food came out, despite being fairly busy. Great view also.

A busy Sunday but enough variety to suit everyone. Quick to order but a little slow to come (busy brunch time), nicely presented and a nicely cooked egg. Bit disappointed with disposable coffee cups even though biocups but considering the busyness china would slow things down.

Delicious food and super fast service. Vegan pancake was absolutely delicious and my 7 year old nephew quickly polished off an egg and bacon roll. Highly recommend.

We were running out of options to eat in Port Adelaide when we stumbled on this place. Its in a really great location right on the water. My ham and cheese pancake was quite tasty, however I really didn t like my berry smoothie at all.It had a very funny flavor and was runny not thick and fruity, like a good smoothie usually is.Apart from that service was good and my friends were happy with their dishes. Was reasonably priced. A good experience all in all.
