Small but popular little cafe. Staff are lovely and welcoming. I had the waffles with ice cream & berries, they were crunchy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, could not fault this food. 10/10. Husband had the omelette, full of flavour! Highly recommend this place if your out this way!

We stopped off here during our visit to the Swan Valley, choosing to have just a coffee on our first visit. The menu looked good, so we revisited for lunch. One of the most delicious soups I have ever had - sweet potato and coriander - served piping hot with a warm roll. My husband wished he had chosen the... More

The venue at the time, was like and elongated farm shed no ambience. The food was acceptable but not exceptional. he restaurant has a good reputation, so I may be being overcritical, and comparing it to overseas experiences, not WA. It was certainly crowded on the day of our visit but we were fitted in without a booking, and the service... More

We have visited Penny Garden for breakfast several times in the past 12 months, the last being in December 2016. Each time, the breakfasts on offer have been well cooked and presented meals, yet have a morning feeling. Service was very good, quite friendly - even to the point of advising of when to order before large groups. We have... More

A delightful setting overlooking a picturesque dam. Meal was good and service was amazing and fast. Seafood was fresh and good quality. A good place for a quick mid week meal. Will definitely go back and try their weekend breakfast.

Shocking, I have never encountered such rude people. I am a firm believer that such bad service should be called out. You may not respect your clientele however you do need to remember they are who pay your bills. I would not advise anyone to go there. There are plenty of great places to go in the swan valley. This... More

Hi Maurs10, we seen this review coming a mile away just from the short interaction we experienced. Our bouncy castle attraction is funded by PGR and is solely there for PGR patrons to sit back, enjoy their meals and watch their kids play. Hence the reason why we intentionally display our sign stating "Reserved For PGR Patrons" in which you... More

Pulled in for breakfast on Friday morning, (after all - the signs on the road and on the front of the building state breakfast). Parked the car. Walked to the door, only to find it closed on a Friday morning (and other mornings) for breakfast! Disappointed!

We booked the christmas lunch 2 days before date and got rejected everywhere we called. However, the Penny Garden gave us an option instead of immediate rejection. They were fully booked but would love to set up a table outside. It was in the shade and they had ventilators if necessary. I was very pleased with their approach. On top... More

Description
Owner Roger Patten has been a chef for 50 years and started Penny Garden Restaurant with his wife Pam & daughter Jasmine. Before commencement of construction, old Australian pennies were discovered at the entrance to the site. This, combined with the picturesque views and a love of plants & fauna by the owners, formed the history behind the name Penny Garden. Chef Earl Mashmett has over 20 years experience in bars & restaurants in Perth and has created a fresh menu using local produce wherever possible. With gluten free and vegetarian options available, Penny Garden is happy to cater to dietary requirements. All cakes, salad dressings, sauces & marinades are made right here on the premises. Penny Garden is a fully licensed venue with good range of wine, beer and spirits and we also offer split billing. However, you may BYO wine / champagne if you wish (corkage charged at $5 per bottle). We recommend booking to ensure your table
