Taken by friends to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and what a hidden gem. Food was incredibly tasty and ample. Best cheeseboard I've had, great that you get to choose the cheeses from a selection.

My sister in law actually found the pub Restaurant a few weeks ago and gave me the nod. Like a 14Century tardis, run by a great team of people. Clean fresh beer served with a smile. Fabulous food at a good price all set in lovely ancient buildings. I very nice surprise, I wish it was my local!

The Cowshed restaurant is a surprise when you are led through, light and airy with a very modern feel. The menu has plenty of choice and especially has a couple of vegetarian options that have been made with imagination rather than the same old same old. The quality of the food was fantastic and so full of flavour, the service... More

Love this pub down a country lane. So much character with the ability to enjoy outside on a nice day. A warm welcome on arrival makes a great difference. Always a good stop when in the area.

Visited this lovely old place for the first time over the Easter weekend, with a family group. Lovely old thatched place with bags of atmosphere. Busy and bustling restaurant. Great menu plus specials board with lots of interesting choices. We all enjoyed our food choices which were excellent; helpful staff and excellent service. Will certainly return and would have no... Great staff and superb service in a lovely environment. We had the Sunday lunch menu and our party had quite mixed thoughts on the dishes. Some dishes good others only average. The lamb was felt to be poor and portions of some dishes not too generous.

Excellent menu. The Steak was one of the best I have ever had. I always have steak so have a lot to compare it with. The Cheese Board selection was amasing.

This was recommended to us by some friends who live nearby otherwise we would never have found it. I am so glad they did as the meal and surroundings were delightful. The staff were lovely and took the time to talk to us. We will certainly be back should we ever be in the area again.
