A romantic afternoon tea by seaside with various kind of food selection. The scone with pandan sauce is highly recommended. The signature drink is kiwi sparkling cold brew: kiwi syrup and tonic water mixed together is so refreshing.
I was welcomed by Mr. Christ, a very polite and attentive man.
The afternoon tea was very addictive because they were presented by Khun Jean.
Khun Jeab created a special drink called Mango Tango: mango, orange, pineapple juice and surup blended with ice.
During the meal Khun PakBung was so nice to us and made the atmosphere so chill and relax. She took photo for us because today is our anniversary.

The Mcfarland restaurant is a 100 years old Thai house by the ocean, a beautiful dining room in the rocks, perfect for families, boyfriends, couples, or just sitting in a quiet atmosphere. Cold breeze from the sea. Speaking of the food, this place is really delicious, with a 5-star chef's craft, the staff is really cute, smiling, very impressed with the service at this place.

Tucked away in a corner, by the beach & sea, of the distinguished Hyatt Regency Hotel, the restaurant is in a pleasant colonial architectural style structure. Not crowded and one felt quite exclusive, in the way they fussed and served. The waitresses were helpful and the seafood - the seabass; and the Jumbo Prawns & Scallops dish was excellently cooked. Large, satisfying helpings to satiate the hungry!

Despite the advertisements and the 4000thb per person price, the selection of food and wine was really disappointing. No beef, pork or poultry availablefor meat eaters. Lobster served was less that 1cm square. No selection of cheeses. The band was so loud we found it difficult to chat. Won't be recommending or returning.

I don’t know why this restaurant is so well rated. I came here with my family and we waited an hour to be served. They served us half our entrees and appetizers at the same time. But the other half of our family had to wait another 45 minutes for just their appetizers, which once again came at the same time. When I asked why our appetizers didn’t come out together since they went through the trouble of making the main courses at the same time, the waitress was very confused and said you want your appetizers first? Like appetizers aren’t supposed to come first. I asked where the rest of the entrees were and they were perplexed and I realized they did not place the orders. Needless to say we walked out before they could start on our entrees 2 hours after we arrived.

On my recent Barai stay, I ate breakfast here twice. Amazing. I ignored breakfast one day so I'd be hungry for the Sunday Brunch.
I started going to these brunches back in 2009, when they were introduced. McFarland House is too good a location, right on the beach, not to have one.
They were groundbreaking then. No one else in Hua Hin was doing them. They weren't even this ornate in Bangkok then.
It's the right balance of grilled seafood and meats, kebabs, felafel, grilled vegetables, and salads. Do your appetites cater more to veg fare? They prepared me a phenomenal veg green curry.
There's even some Italian fare, if you have room for it.
You are serenaded by live musicians, the same band that was there when I first started coming and who seranaded me at my wedding dinner. Yes, I had my wedding dinner here!!!
There​is a danger to going back weekly: you'd gain a couple kg by the end of each month.
There was homemade lemonade and iced tea served in unlimited quantities. I opted for the alcohol package. It's a Sunday Brunch by the beach. Sparkling wine was the right thing to do.

We came here during weekdays according to a recommendation by my brother. Many reviews on this place has set us a high expectation. We ordered grilled tiger prawns, organic salmon and salad. All the food came quickly and all of them taste great, fresh, and cooked to the right texture. The service from their staffs (especially khun Jean) was also brilliant. She gave us just the right recommendations on both main course and later the afternoon tea set.
Unfortunately, the food and the atmosphere was so good, we realized we did not take any photos of the food after we finished them all.
This is definitely a great place you need to visit and we will surely come back here again.

We booked the Pirate & Treasures Afternoon Tea online for our anniversary celebration since we planned to visit The Barai Spa. The reservation process was really smooth with everything arranged over email. When we arrived, everything was already set up with lovely cushions and a nice big table on the sand right in front of the sea! The view was amazing and our server Jean came out in a pirate uniform with our food items places in a treasure chest, and the service was great! Thank you for giving us such a memorable and special experience!

You have it all; excellent location with a breathtaking view, scrumptious food menu that suits most dietary requirements, relaxing background music which makes the restaurant’s atmosphere warm and cozy, and more importantly is the friendliness of staff who are very service oriented with an eye on details what makes us visiting your one and only restaurant whenever we visit the city. Peaceful brunch on Monday.
Started with warm and friendly welcome from K. Jean. She made a good recommendation on menu. We had fish burger with homemade fries dip with homemade tomato sauce and mushroom pasta. Do not miss out to spend your free afternoon time here.

The food are great as always. This is my fourth time visiting this place. The local connection is one of my favorite. A Grill Sea Bass on top of Clam soup. Great combination. First time to try a Famous crab cake here. The dish made us feel very fresh and a taste of a little spicy , sour, and bitter and sweet from Pomelo. All staffs are very friendly. Especially K. Sarun, K. Aim and K. O are very helpful in recommending both main dishes and dessert. Very delightful to be back here again and surely will revisit whenever I came to Hua Hin. One of my favorite spot. Highly recommend.

Ordered a vegan overnight oats the day before, whitch they accepted.
They gave me warm oatmeal, tasteless.. had to pay full price even though thay didn't give me what I ordered. When I complained they said that they were sorry and next time they will give me what I order, not even compensating with a free coffee or anything. Even when they know they made a mistake. Unprofessional.

McFarland House in Hyatt Regency felt like our own private dining experience. Eating a fantastic dinner listening to the waves, feeling like we were the only guests. (We were not). This restaurant has an intimate vibe and both the food and staff are wonderful. Wonderful attentive service.

Wow, they only have a few items in the afternoon tea set to perfect it right? Surely the chef of a 5 star resort has tried and tested every item here for quality and taste and balance. It looked the part from a presentation point of view, but delivered a bland over sweet, pretty tasteless selection. My wife could have dished up better given just an hour, and yet this is the tried and tested menu of a top chef?! Why deliver a bland chocolate mouse that has some kind of raspberry outer layer, looked like a sorbet, and would have been better as a sorbet: tasteless. They also served a chocolate log, so why two bland chocolate deserts?! Made no sense. The other items were just totally forgettable...what a disappointment. Coffee was cold, even the welcome cool drink wasn't welcome! No this just is not good enough hyatt, this is your flagship restaurant in this place apparently. Service was not much better here either. Would seriously think about giving this place a total miss in the future until they sort out a decent chef and team.

Went here for the Christmas night dinner with twelve friends, nice setting on the beach, negotiated a fair rate for corkage as we did not like their wine selection but thats where the good points end.
The promotional pictures of the dinner featured roast turkey and all the trimmings, what we got was 50g of turkey a piped bit of mash half the size of a golf ball, a 2cm x 2cm square of stuffing ON COLD PLATES, nouvelle cuisine died in the 80s for a reason. I have never come away from a seven course meal hungry until now, four very slow courses in we were joking about ordering takeaway pizza we were all so hungry. It was not as if they were busy as there were only 4-5 takes all night and its not like a large corporate company in the hotel and leisure industry is not used to dealing with 12 customers. Our bill for the evening came to a tidy 25,000thb and judging by the amount of food we eat 24,000thb would be profit. Well done 12 influential people who live in the area will not be recommending your establishment. The food was an insult.

As we always try to accommodate our guests, we did not hesitate to revise our Christmas menu according to your group´s requirements upon booking. Your menu comprised seven courses so, our kitchen team plated according to the standard portions designed for a sit-down dinner that would be appropriate for everyone´s enjoyment. We apologize that the portions did not meet your expectations.
