Car park was very dark... but once finally the restaurant we had a very nice. A sign to the main door would be handy. The service and food was good, had to ask for the music to be turned down as it was too loud. But nice place and good irish welcome.

We walk into these premises with extremely high expectations, hearing from former customers telling you that you will be in for a surprise. Walking into a buzzing bar filled of customers, expectations grew further, the interior was delivering the wow factor. We were told a busy night was expected, and advised that our table would be needed for a reset.... More

Wow what a great pub and restaurant. They even have a GIN MENU! Really good menu. I had the venison. To finish, a superb Gaelic Coffee.

Popped in here Friday night with friends. Karaoke on,great music, great atmosphere. Lively pub much bigger than it looks from the outside but lots of nooks and crannies.

Visited on an early Saturday evening when it was pretty busy. In a group of friends - we were served Guiness and bar meals near to a cosy log fire by very helpful staff. Live music followed and the traditional feel to the place helped add to the atmosphere. The one downside was when got our bill and discovered a... More

The food was great really enjoyed it . We were there on steak night had a T-bone steak that was cooked to perfection and this came with four different sides and sauce. The staff were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Visited The Drift Inn during a stay in Buncrana. It was originally the old railway station and it has loads of character. Unfortunately we didn't dine on our visit, but it was highly recommended to us! The staff are fantastic and very good at what they do. Next time we visit Buncrana, we will definitely will be dining at the... More

The Drift Inn bar and restaurant Buncrana is one like no other, set against the windswept banks of the Lough Swilly it stands out as a main vocal point on entrance to the town. The Drift Inn has a history which many will agree compares to no other bars in Buncrana, once a functioning railway station up until the mid 1900's it has kept this theme very close to the heart of the bar with original railway timetables still to be seen on the walls of the premises and the water tower once used to fill steam trains standing tall at the rear of the premises. The drift Inn also has a strong connection with the sea as our name would suggest, the connection is carried through the bar and restaurant with our boat shaped bar the "St.Jude" standing strong over these many years having many drinks crossing her deck. The has a wide variety of areas for each patron to enjoy a drink or a bit to eat, the more relaxed harness room is an old favourite of many patrons with the open fire always blazing, the main bar boasts an open brick fire which ha been know the burn full trees in one day (depending on the staff working), then we have the more private "wee room" with a piano incase anyone is feeling musical after a few stout (which many think is the best pint of stout in the town). There is also two tv's which play all major sporting events and can be split between two to meet everybodys needs.
