Killaloe is a lovely little town and a place worth staying in to feel revitalized. This is the kind of pub you feel at home in. The land lady is a diamond and the staff are just as warm and friendly. The step dancing evening was superb and it was lovely watching everyone enjoying themselves Stayed in Killaloe in memory of... More

Very good pint, challenging pool table, music sessions are great. Very sociable clientele and it is easy to fit right in regardless of which hurling county you support - but be prepared for plenty of slagging off. If you give you must take.

We recently traveled to Ireland hoping to find some good traditional music. On our stay in Killaloe we found the Anchor Inn the perfect spot for this. There was a lovely trad evening with a local group and a fun night on Wednesday when step dancing was on the menu and visitors encouraged to take part. This was a real... More

I happened to see the owners of the B&B I was staying at sitting in the outdoor area of Anchor Inn and joined them for a pint of Guinness. I went into the Pub to order my pint and met the owner/operator (?) of the pub. She was a delightful lady and invited me to come later in the evening... More

Outstanding place to have a night out in. Very friendly staff and out standing venue. Had a group over from London and management went out of their way to make them welcome and organised for them to get back to where they were staying. 10 out of 10 for this venue. Amazing. Brilliant.

We always send our guests to The Anchor Inn for a true Irish experience of Set Dancing on Wednesday nights. Whether they want to join in or just sit back and relax watching the other dancers it's always a positive feedback that we receive from our guests.

The Anchor is a popular local pub with friendly owners who staff the bar. Locals come in for the craic, the pool and on Wednesday nights the set dancing. If you're coming to town, make sure a Wednesday is on the calendar because you won't want to go home without dancing a set at the Anchor!
