Service was very good from phone booking to table waiting. Always professional and with a smile. There were lots of staff too; they kindly turned down the thudding music for us (and, I suspect, with the gratitude of other diners). The food, from a pub-sized menu, was average. Best fish dish was the Spanish-style cod, but the poached salmon turned out to be dull and lifeless. We enjoyed the starters, but the dessert ice cream had the taste and texture of a supermarket product. If you're opting for the house white wine, choose the Marlborough (New Zealand). The atmosphere is lively, with many family groups. Yellow Pepper is great for ambience and service, and the prices are very reasonable too. We concluded that we'd prefer to pay a little more for better food. Then it would be a great restaurant.

Staff so attentive and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Gorgeous food well presented and so tasty. Great ambience, relaxing atmosphere and so clean, great attention to covid restrictions. Highly recommend, we had a great meal, value meal served before 6.30, followed by dessert and baileys coffee. Lovely

We visited the lemon pepper for my partners birthday we were staying in the Radisson which was a 5 minute walk away. The staff were so friendly and the young girl who looked after us on the night was so helpful and friendly. When we arrived the restaurant was extremely busy and loud but luckily we were placed down the back where it was nice and quiet. There is a huge variety on the menu and it suits all sorts of eaters it was served very quickly and tasted so good. I had the steak and my partner had the chicken satay both tasted amazing. The food and service was that good we retuned the next day for some lunch. Again service and food was amazing and would definitely return. Thank you so much to the staff for looking after us and making my partners birthday dinner one to remember.

My partner and I ate at here 3 days prior to our most recent visit with a table of 8. On the date with my partner we got our usual dish of chicken satay which STATES basmati rice with the dish on the menu. You are then allowed to select a side dish long side the rice as has been for a long time. However our dish came out without the rice, we did not say anything however on my return with the group I ordered the same dish. While ordering I specifically read the menu, again the dish states rice. I asked the server and mentioned to her is she absolutely sure as I had been in a couple of days ago and did not get the rice and I would order rice as my side if not, rather than two bowls of rice!! Long story short the 3 chicken satays for our table did not come with rice as asked. I went to speak to the owner and she was extremely rude. She claimed the menu says “best served” however it does not. She said it was causing confusion so they stopped serving rice and a side. I advised her to clarify the menu for the future as I had specifically asked the waitress and her attitude was so rude. She then blamed the waitress, whom is far from blame when they refuse to reprint the menu or have clarify with customers. I then seen her give out to the waitress before I went back upstairs. Later in the evening I seen the owner speak with the waitress and it was obvious she pointed out us as the “problem” table. The owner then went to every table on the second floor bar ours and the very small table close to us. No such thing as the customer is always right here, if the owner had of listened to what I wanted to say before exclaiming that the menu says best served than there would not of been a problem. The minute I mentioned the dish it was clear she had her back up. I know I couldn’t of been the first customer to complain. Later to avoid our table is just ridiculous. Very unhappy, our table also waited for 3 cups of tea for 15 minutes!!!!

Very popular restaurant. Unfortunately I was disappointed with my food on the night. The started of goats cheese crostini was lovely and I enjoyed it. I ordered medium sirloin steak for the main course. When it arrived the steak was cold as were the tobacco onions which accompanied it. The steak itself was well done - no pink at all. So disappointing. The dessert of hot raspberries was absolutely lovely though.

Went for a meal to yellow pepper haven’t been there for a while wasn’t too impressed the last time I visited it but decided to give it another chance . Not very impressed this time either had sea bass with mussels and crispy fried squid the sea bass was fresh but soggy skin the crispy squid was soggy rubber bands inedible mussels were lovely , mashed potato tasted as if it was lying for while and heated up . In fairness when I complained to the waitress she offered me a second glass of wine but I declined as we were finished the meal. Won’t be back anytime soon .

Came here while on a 3 night stay with the other half in Letterkenny. Place was quite busy but we got a table without reservation which was good. Had the calamari for starters which was tasty and the other half had the chowder which was very thick and not to her liking. For second course I had the lamb special which was okay and was simply lamb, mash potato and gravy which I don't feel was great value. The other half had the salmon skewers. The salmon was cooked well but smothered in sweet chilli sauce which was too much. Desserts were great, the almond fudge ice cream is a must if you visit here!

I took my mum out on what would be my mum and dads 51st wedding anniversary, sadly dad is no longer with us. We were seated in a quiet area but had to wait a while until our Oder was taken, I noticed a woman hovering around and asked if she would take out order (I believe she was the owner) she abruptly told me and my mum that she was not working (why was she even hovering around!!) and in a demeaning tone said she’d gladly take our order... why did she even need to say that to us, could she not politely say, sorry, I’ll get one of my staff to take your order. This attitude dampened our evening and I’ll happily never return. Notions

We stopped off here for an early dinner, recently on our trip to Donegal .We didn't have a reservation but were given a lovely table by the very attentive staff. My food was fresh, tasty& I had a very memorable dinner.Only downside was there was lamb on the menu, my friend likes her well cooked, not pink, the staff refused to take her request as they said the chef wouldn't do it that way, she ordered another dish , which was excellent. We soon forgot about the lamb!!!.Lovely clean restaurant, we felt safe as all Covid guidelines were in place.

Even with all the virus restrictions in place one was mad to feel at home in this restaurant. We went for a two course option of main meal followed by desert. My partner had beautifully cooked salmon a side a sweet potatoes. I went for the atlantic sea food platter consisting of lovely squid, prawns and mussels on a bed of pasta ina really lovely home made tomato sauce mixed with a touch of basil and garlic and black pepper!! Wow!! Presentation, taste and quality of fish just magic!! complements to the chef on the evening of the monday the 6th July, well done!!

Vast menu selection, that covers most ideas, classics like chicken Maryland, looked nice on nearby table . Lovely plump Scallops with carrot as a starter, A mixed fish platter, terrific Mackerel soused with red cabbage, mussels in a creamy sauce, spicy squid rings,, a hearty cup of chowder nearly a main course in its self, a slice of spicy seasoned salmon, and salad garnish crammed onto a wooden platter. All tasty and fresh. Creme brûlée, had a side of vanilla ice cream and a piece of poached pear. All in all big portions. And it’s was busy with tables being used again on our visit. A hard working team patrols these tables.

Visited the Yellow Pepper on Monday 9th August 2021 and had a very enjoyable experience food was top class with very friendly service. I’m happy to recommend the restaurant booking was seamless and Covid Regulation were probably adhered to. The restaurant was busy for a Monday night so I would suggest you book for a table.

Booked here when we attended the opening night of 'Translations' in An Grianan. The place was buzzing with other theatre goers - lovely atmosphere on a Tuesday evening. Menu was excellent, with several tasty sounding specials. Because we were dining early we opted to dine from the Value Menu - great choice and value. Service and food was excellent, even though the restaurant was very busy. We have dined here before and had a really good experience every time. Looking forward to the next time!

My husband and I went to Lemon Pepper on Valentine’s night. We haven’t been to this restaurant from the pandemic. We were taken to our table and given menus. We had squid to share as a starter, I went for the lamb and my husband had the monkfish the food was excellent. We always visit this restaurant when we come to Letterkenny it never disappoints. The staff and the food are brilliant. Looking forward to my next visit hopefully soon.

My wife and I ate an evening meal at Yellow Pepper in July during the Irish lockdown. Service was excellent, safe and the food was of a very high standard. It's very tough for any business to operate under the stupid restrictions imposed by HSE and their NPHET friends but the team at Yellow Pepper did a wonderful job taking a common sense approach to ensuring everyone stayed safe If only the Yellow Pepper team ran Ireland. Everyone would be safe and the country would not be facing economic ruin.
