When you bother to book a table it should be a good table that is reserved for you, we arrived last Sunday 21 May having booked a table for 2 at 8pm. The girl who eventually greeted us was totally stressed out,her greeting was this is the only table I have , but I said Ive booked a table, reply... More

Without a doubt one of the best hidden gems of not only Donegal but the island of Ireland. The service from start to finish was welcoming, professional and friendly. Peter served us and offered excellent recommendations for both wine and food. Had the best vegetarian starter ever!! And we all had fish of which there was an extensive choice and... More

The Lemon Tree has remained our go to restaurant. Produce, attention to detail and consistency . We booked in, 9 of us, myself living out of the country i wasnt aware they had moved premises and had booked on their 2nd night opening. Fab! from beginning to end, the menu has changed slightly, they still have their own distinct style,... More

Visited this restaurant on a Bank Holiday Monday. We opted for the early bird menu which consisted of two courses for €19, this constituted excellent value for money. This menu is available until 6.45pm and is clearly very popular as evidenced by the number of diners in the restaurant. We were provided with complimentary porter bread before our started arrived,... Decided in advance to eat here while on wild Atlantic trip. Was not disappointed one bit. If had stayed in one location during our trip we probably would have eaten here every night. The steaks were cooked perfectly and expectionally tasty. Good presentation, quick service. Never felt rushed. Even with sitting with hatch behind me never noticed the staff walking... More

I revisited the Lemon Tree having enjoyed it so much when I went there with my wife last August. I had the two course early diner for €19 and it was beautiful and the staff very helpful. This is the place to eat in Letterkenny.

We took advantage of the early bird menu recently at the Lemon Tree. We didn't book in advance, this was not a problem. While it was early in the evening the restaurant was nicely busy with a comfortable atmosphere. The staff were so lovely, friendly & efficient. The mussels which were on the starter menu were some of the best... More

What can I say?! My title says it all. Excellent customer service from the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left. Food was amazing and portion size was great. My other half is always disappointed when we go out to eat but this wasn't the case this time. We even got a shot size glass of... More

Had looked up our favourite travel bible aka Tripadvisor and noted that the Lemon Tree was indeed top of the tree in Letterkenny. Booked a week in advance, took advantage of the early bird menu, great value, some breads served first, lovely chicken terrine, excellent mains ( battered hake and sirloin steak), accompanied by prompt and pleasant service, whats not... Description
The Lemon tree has recently moved MAY 2017 to a NEW location in Letterkenny at the Courtyard Shopping Centre to the rare of the building at the carpark.
This is a Letterkenny owned family run restaurant opened in 1999. The three brothers in the kitchen have a unique style with a mixture of traditional Irish and French classic, influenced by country house cooking which was collected by their many years experience all over Irleand. All meats are Irish sourced and fresh fish is a special feature. Everthing is made freshly on site including all breads, pastries, pastas and desserts. The Wine list is ever growing and includes something for all tastes with over 90 different wines.
The restaurant offers a Early bird menu 7 days available from 5 - 7 pm and a full A la carte menu from 5 - 10 PM. Lunch is available from 1 - 2:30 PM on Sunday.
