Here I had the first whiskey of my life! A fascinating place to visit, amazing history behind (ask for the menu where the history of the place is written) and the collection of whiskeys there is just unbelievable. Margaret and the girls working there were just amazing and made my evening wonderful. Give a try to the hot whiskey... delicious!!!

Lots of people from different countries mixed with the locals to make a visit to this pub not... More

Had a lovely evening here with hospitable hosts, who demonstrated the fine art of a real Irish coffee. Fascinating small pub with lots of atmosphere.

This pub may be small in size but that is what makes it even more appealing. Traditional Irish pub with heaps of atmosphere. You will not be disappointed in this place and it is great to see that places/bars like this still exist. Put it on your list when in Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare.

This pub has been the centre of life for the 40 years that I have known Ballyvaughan. Once a hotel, it catered for the likes of lady Gregory and the quality of the water made famous tea. It may or not be open to match the time of your thirst but, when it is, it will assuage all appetites and... More

Like traditional pubs? Love whiskey and great beer? Stop whatever you're doing and come see Margaret. She will tell stories, give you a history lesson, and overall, be a wonderful host.
