We had a meal for four here recently. Seafood chowder excellent, steak excellent perfectly cooked to order- medium rare, our fellow diners had fish and were impressed with portion size and quality. dessert beautifully presented. We really enjoyed our meal here which was enhanced by the great views and lovely waiting staff who were friendly but unobtrusive. They have a... More

Food is not bad but not absolutely great either. Not a huge choice and there are other nicer restaurants nearby. A bit understaffed and need an update. A bit pricey for what is on offer.

We stayed at the hotel that was associated with the restaurant. We tried to go to the Titanic for dinner, but the had stopped taking customers because they were so busy. We went to two other places in town that didn't look very good and ended up back at our hotel. This place is cute and clean and the staff... More

Jacobs Ladder restaurant is in the Waterside Hotel. It is as you would expect on the water’s edge with excellent views of the lower harbour and particularly Haulbowline Island which is the Irish naval base. A short walk from the railway station it is an ideal stop when you arrive in or are leaving Cobh. We had lunch here on... More

Stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the selection, value and quality of the food. The restaurant itself is literally on the water's edge with pleasant views across Cork Harbour. Staff were friendly and welcoming

I had the pleasure of dining here on December 10th. Despite the restaurant being busy with Christmas parties and large family gatherings I was made very welcome as a lone diner and had excellent attention from the lovely staff. The festive turkey roast dinner was very generous and really scrumptious. It would have been nice to have had some festive... More

The location is the highlight. Comfortable surrounds. Eat your food while watching the river boats go by with spectacular views. The service has its moments at times but food is generally consistently good. Good selection of beer and spirits
