Great location. Upbeat, friendly and helpful staff. Live music every weekend. A hive of activity. A decent sized menu- everyone could find something they would love. However the quality of the food served let the venue down. No wow factor to the food we received. We felt we could have cooked the food better ourselves.

The decor in the Paragon harks back to the '60s so don't go if you are into traditional Irish pubs or designer restaurants. But if you want to watch the big game this is the place - big screens abound. I had a couple of pints and the baked salmon with salsa. Service was good but not particularly friendly. The... More

We always start our holidays in Baltimore with a visit to the Paragon for a big Skib breakfast. Freshly cooked and unlimited tea and good coffee is just what you need for a busy day ahead. At €7.95 a head it's great value and you will be lucky if you even need dinner.

Went here for food lately and both of our dinners were awful. Wouldn't recommend the food and the person in charge wasn't very pleasant either.

Food was average, a little over priced. The bar was grubby, behind our seat was a radiator and there was all rubbish thrown down there. Wouldn't recommend or go there again

On a trip to Skibbereen my wife and I ended up here most nights after trying a few others. The food here is better than pub food. The portions here are so big you could feed the five thousands. The waitresses serving are the nicest I've seen in ages. Top marks and good price. Will recommend to any one visiting... More

We walked back through a courtyard to enter Paragon Bar, where I enjoyed Durban Chicken Curry (not too spicy, very flavourful). My wife enjoyed her Spaghetti Bolognese (sauce was sweeter than expected). Murphy's on tap was poured well and tasted great. The night we ate there, Paragon had a band singing cover songs. They were very good. Families brought their... More
