The poppadums were greasy and I was sorry we hadnt just bought a jar of sauce and made a nicer dinner... More

The law of: 'badly presented restaurant equals disgusting food' still applies in Clifden. Our experience was so bad that we rang and alerted the local environmental health dept. No fresh vegetables, not even a fresh onion could be seen in the luminous, day-glo, artificially coloured sauce. No spices could be tasted in the bland sauce. The owner did not appear... More

Food from this restaurant is good but restaurant itself lacks atmosphere and could do with renovation. However, take-out is reasonably priced and delicious.

This was good but only average Indian food. I may be judging it more harshly because just days before had an incredible dinner at Everest in Westport, and this didn't measure up to that level.

A strange evening, in a busy, bustling town. Fairly empty restaurant, and an understanding of gluten free. The food was of decent/medium quality, and one or two other couples turned up ......but we seemed to wait well over a half hour with no attention at all, after finishing a main course ! Upon asking to see the desert menu, we... More

The food is ok but that's all. It's not good, it's just normal. The service is terrible. The waiter did not welcome us at the door, we chose a table and they were looking at us without coming to give the menus first. After a couple of time, they served the food. My knife was a bit dirty and for... More

In Clifden for a few days and on one evening had a takeaway from here. A biryani was poor, with little chicken in it and a hard boiled egg & cucumber on top. The butter chicken was inedible - not even convinced it was chicken! Whatever it was it was swimming in a bright red fairly tasteless sauce.Thrown away. We... More

Absolutely the worst experience ever. Service was terrible. Two of our party ordered a the same Chicken Dish only to find pieces of pork and beef. When questioned the meal was taken with no apology. When the bill came we were charged full price but two beers were taken from the final amount. When questioned about the meat he replied... More

Eaten here before but the place really has gone down hill. The whole restaurant is cold, very grubby and tatty and in desperate need of a thorough overhaul. Not surprisingly the place was empty on our arrival and empty on our departure. This is a Friday evening! Toilets are situated downstairs past a strange array of open storerooms. The smell... More

This restaurant has been in existence for at least several years. The telephone number is Ireland area code and 095-22619. Three employees and about 20 tables. Pretty good set up. Will write a generally positive review of the diner we had.
