While in Kinsale, we craved a place away from the tourist track and more authentically local. The Spaniard, a short walk up from town, offered delicious food (full Sunday lamb roast) and ambiance with history, local families and charm. Enjoyed it very much.

We only stopped with a group for drinks, but it's worth a review for the history -- circa 1650! Great cider. What character!

Delightful little place for a mid-afternoon snack of seafood chowder chowder, chips and a local brew. Terrific service.

The fish & Chips & Guinness are very good following golf. Authentic Irish Pub & food. Recommended in Tom Coyne’s book, A Course Called Ireland. Bulman was closed on Mondays for food, so the Spaniard was 2nd choice. Very good.
