We had our tea here. The place itself looks a bit run down where we dined. Staff were friendly. I asked for something on menu and changed things around. Barman said it was no trouble. Ribeye steak at 15 euros was very good. I had chicken, baked potatoes and beans for 9.95 euros. Overall I would go back.

I loved the vibe here, people, food and drinks. So much so, that we ended up coming back here once more before our trip ended.

We ordered the soup of the day: a vegetable soup with A LOT of salt. After I ordered scampi. Thet were fried with bad oil, they were greasy and inedible. Moreover the place was cold. Rejected!

A taxi driver recommended this place. I was pretty cool if you are into Irish pubs. They just have pub food, so if you are looking to have a fine dining experience. I went on a Monday and there was quite a few locals just hanging out. Nice place.

Busy pub with Irish music. A good place to meet locals and tourists. Pub food is pretty good too! Worth a visit or two!

Wanted good pub food in a nice setting. I had soup and sandwich - grilled cheese and vegetable soup. Couldn't be better. My wife had the best fish and chips she ever had. Wide assortment of beer on tap, I asked for a blonde and they gave me a hope beer which they said was the closest they had and... More

My first impression of Gibney's was that it was nice spacious and welcoming. However NOTHING could be further to the truth. I found the staff to be unwelcoming unfriendly and very aloof to strangers. Is there some secret code? The pint was woeful. And at €5.40 for a Guinness disgrace. The food was horrific. The toilets were a disgrace. The... More

I've been to Gibney's a 100 times from the age of 17-30, it's a huge attraction for visitors and locals but it's not for me, food is mediocre at best and when it gets busy the toilets are a disgrace, no one cleaning them and just gross with the added benefit of long queues. Also a bugbearer for my husband... More
