We travelled from Dublin to Dingle for one night to eat at Idas. My third time to eat here and it did not disappoint. This was my first time to have the tasting menu and it was sensational. The quality of the food, service and knowledge of the staff made for an unforgettable meal. It was definitely worth the trip!

I finally visited this restaurant and what a visit it was.The food was outstanding & the service was excellent .It is an experience not to forget with the head chef coming to the table explaining what you were about to delve into.To say the man is humble would be an understatement! Every member of staff I encountered were dedicated &... More

My wife and I went to Idas for her 50th and it did not disappoint. My wife is a vegetarian (no meat or fish) but they quickly adapted the tasting menu and we had a superb meal. David - the front of house and Sommelier was great and enthusiastic (and showed me how to make a fantastic and potent Irish... More

An absolute gem in Dingle! Every dish was incredible- from the locally foraged herbs, to the cod, oyster, lamb, incredible dessert and petit fours that almost pushed us over the edge. Fabulous staff, super interactive and knowledgable explaining each dish to perfection. The dingle gin jelly was incredible too! A fabulous find that is a must for anyone visiting if... More

on a rainy night in March i was surprised by the best food ever. Idas (there's a fada on the 'a') does tasting menus, a careful sequence of dishes, each like an Elizabethan miniature or cameo - finely detailed with scavenged herbs and sea weeds, seafood, lamb or vegetarian, sauces that are so subtle some seemed almost alive. The wine... More

Superb tasting menu for €50 per person. From foraged green local bits ,broth, cod, and the freshest mackerel and Kerry lamb with a Devine jus. Overall a breath of fresh air in Dingle with a sea of flavours in each course topped off by a delicious rhubarb desert and Americano. Did I mention the wine ? Superb white Muscadet and... More

It's true. Idas surprised and took the top experience of food I ever tasted. I compare the creativity, composition, and complexity of the meal to the music of Mozart and Frank Zappa. They contained the classic feel with the unique flare that many want to copy, yet few can come close to achieve. The first bite into the mushrooms I... More

Idás was easily my favorite dining experience in the last 10 years. From the amazing textures and flavors in the food to the exquisite wine pairings, Idás delivers with full marks. Not to mention the service was impeccable. If you're ever in Ireland, Idás is a must.

My husband and I stopped in on Thursday planning on doing the chef's tasting menu but they had run out so we did the three courses with wine pairing. It was remarkable, the staff was very knowledgeable about the wine and passionate about locally sourced ingredients. We were so impressed we booked to come back on Friday for the tasting... More
