After two long flights from San Diego, California and over 200 miles drive from Dublin Airport to Kenmare, Ireland we were tired, hungry, and thirsty. The first shop we saw as we entered Kenmare was the local bookstore. We asked for a recommendation to get good food and beer. They went to the front door of the shop and pointed... More

We visited this beautiful Irish pub this afternoon for a late lunch. The atmosphere was immediately laid back and warm, and the service was attentive and friendly. I had the best fish and chips that I have had to date: the fish beautifully battered and flaky/moist and fresh, and the chips perfectly fried with a light crisp on the outside.... More

I had the lamb stew and it was excellent, much better (and probably more authentic) than lamb stew I had tried in Dublin. The entertainment was very good --- two sisters providing... More

My wife and I were spending the night at a local B&B and had just taken a stroll around the village to take in a few of the sights. We liked the looks of the menu here and were not disappointed. It's the sort of place where the waitstaff seem to be covering a zone rather than individual tables, so... More

I recently vacated to the beautiful town of Kenmare over the past weekend. With a variety places to eat, my husband and I came across a lovely restaurant at the top of Kenmare town. In our 5 night stay in this beautiful town, we ate in the Lansdowne Arms hotel 3 evenings out of our 5. And what a pleasure.... More
