For an expensive Resturant €240 for two, although beautiful setting and dining room, a nice menu and waitresses very present the toilet was seriously a dirty grim cheap insult to customers, vile. I'd never return. Besides that my fish was undercooked having specifically asked for well done and has given me a bad tummy today, should not have eaten it......... More

We finally got to visit as we are normally in Kerry in Nov when they take their break after the busy season. Friendly, welcoming and efficient. Great setting. It can be your occasion meal or not, all are welcome. Food choices were great, nicely presented and flavorful. Locally sourcing is a key part of their menu and it shows. We... More

My sister and I both celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary this year, so we went to Ireland to celebrate! We were staying in Killarney with our husbands and stumbled upon Lime Tree in Kenmare while doing the ring of Kerry. We decided to drive back for dinner. It's quaint and intimate atmosphere Made it perfect to celebrate 10 years of... More

We had an OK meal at the Lime Tree restaurant in Kenmare. The Singapore noodles were great. We ordered a Thai chicken green curry dish which was disappointing because the chicken was pre-cooked and somwewhat rubbery. The chucks of chicken were quite large. The service was good and the decor was nice.

I have visited the Lime Tree number of times. Every time is a great experience. The staff is friendly and the food is great. This time I had the scallops from the special menu. It was one of the best scallops I ever had.

We so enjoy visiting this restaurant on our visit to Kenmare and once again they didn't fail to disappoint. The food is excellent and the choice is so varied. The kids are young but the choice is not limited for them and they are still raving about the fish dishes especially the chowder. The staff are very helpful and it's... More

Yes we saw a rat coming from kitchen annex and most disconcerting of all was reaction of staff who blithely stated that it probably 'lived in the wall rather than the kitchen itself'. Extraordinary ! And did they see fit to compensate our distress with a modified bill ? No way !
