We had read lovely reviews of this place so popped in this afternoon to book dinner this evening. We looked at the menu and the prices were the highest we had seen over our two week stay across most of Sri Lanka, but we felt that the food would be good and worth the price. On arrival we were given... More
We discovered WB when visiting Galle a few years ago, and have visited the restaurant almost overtime we visit Galle. This place is hands down the best Italian food in Sri Lanka, excellent service, beautiful ingredients paired with some nice Italian wines, and lovely ambience. We will keep returning!
My boyfriend and I were staying nearby and looking for lunch somewhere on Talpe Beach. We went to WB and were amazed by the high quality Italian food. The seafood risotto was exquisite and the seafood ravioli was also just delicious. The service was first class and we had a wonderful relaxing lunchtime on the first day of our holiday... More
WE visit WB as a sea food and Italian Restaurent. If you call them in advance they will get sea food fresh out of the sea with delicious home made pasta. The Grilled Prawns are really good. Rs. 3,600 per plate, for gigantic prawns - the size of lobsters. Wine selection is limited and they charge Rs. 3,000 per bottle... More
We came here for lunch (superb) and spent part of the morning and afternoon on sunloungers in the garden overlooking the ocean, drinking perfect g&ts. There is a little gate giving access to the beach, and a marble foot bath and tap to wash the sand off your feet on your return. Idyllic!
We spent some time in the immaculate garden before dining. The wine list and menu offer a pleasing choice of options. Service is attentive and food is delicious. On the pricey side, but worth it. Recommend.
We were told about this place by other guests at The Sun House. Knowing that we were moving on to Era Beach Hotel (where it's not possible to swim in the sea, as it's too rough) they told us we should visit this place, where we could eat fab grub and swim safely. We loved it so much we went... More
Had lunch here one afternoon.. and the food was as described by most other reviewers - Italian. Quality and presentations was top notch..as was the prices. But, we didn't mind..it was our time to splurge.. Service was very good and staff was attentive to our whims and fancies. Only issue was the problem with their credit card machine..it just wouldn't... More
