Booked a table (which we needed to do), was surprised to see it was more of a pub setting than restaurant, but nice atmosphere. The menu was impressive with a small but varied choice and some very interesting options. I had the salmon and my partner had the lamb rump, with gooey camembert starter and a house salad......Every single thing... More

What a great village pub. A good choice of staple pub food on the menu plus frequently changing specials. We opted for their local steak pie (£12), homemade burger with Monterey Jack cheese with chips and a side salad (just £11) and a flat iron steak with chips which is great value at just £12. All were served promptly and... More

We all came here for a meal the evening of my mothers funeral. We were a party of ten and were seated at a long comfortable table. The staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. The food was faultless....and I'm an ex chef so can be picky!! Absolutely delicious. I cannot thank all the staff enough and cannot... More

We were staying on a 2 night break in the area and decided to eat here on Wednesday night after reading reviews. There was a lot of reserved tables but they were able to fit us in. We had the steak and fish & chips. Large portions of lovely tasting food. We enjoyed our experience and thought the atmosphere was... More

A friendly country pub. Serving real ales that are sublime. Food always delicious and the staff accommodating. Blessed it's on a couple of miles from my home.

A very modest looking country pub with an extensive, gastronomical menu! All the food sounds and looks delicious, and tastes even better. Lots of lovely local beers on tap and a nice selection of wines and spirits. Would highly recommend this place for a relaxed pub dinner.

Never a let down & always a fantastic experience to visit this lovely, very friendly & perfectly located local watering hole. Another evening attended where the food was of the highest order & the Guinness top notch, barmen were helpful & kind. Plenty of quality sport to watch & the atmosphere was relaxing & extremely comfortable. Near the end of... More

A really comfortable although small local with top class local beers and very good food. There is Sky Sports in the dining area which suited me fine but some could find intrusive.
