Considering that this restaurant is well off the beaten track, down a country lane, has a large car park, panoramic views across the Cornish countryside and a large clientele for Sunday lunch, it is a shame that the carvery is such poor value! ( £9.00 for the full portion, £7.00 for those with a smaller appetite, only difference that I... More

It is with a very heavy heart that I write this response. We love getting reviews for our pub and restaurant and take all the comments on board. We receive some lovely feedback and these really make our day. Not everything goes right every time of course, and sometimes we'll receive comments about issues from a guest and we'll take... More

Nine of our group visited the Who'd Have Thought It for lunch after a walk at Cothele and the Tamar Valley. We were impressed by the extensive menu, the polite & cheerful service and the atmosphere. We mostly had different dishes and everyone's order arrived at the same time. The food was well prepared and cooked perfectly. Excellent!!

Love this pub/restaurant. Reasonably priced excellent food. Large menu choice. Very friendly atmosphere. Great venue for Lunch or Dinner if visiting Cothele House. Lovely views down the Tamar Valley to the sea, very nice outdoor area on a nice day. Never had a disappointing meal, large portions. Children friendly and dog friendly in the bar areas.

Valentines Day - Brilliant lamb and veg meal and excellent Aberdeen angus burger, with blue cheese and bacon and lovely crunchy toasted roll that made all the difference. Only down side was less than crunchy chips that appeared soft as if reheated on cooked in too cool oil? Wine - lovely bottle - though pusehed thw boat out at £18.00... More

First visit with friends for lunch and we were not disappointed. Lovely country pub with a warm welcome and good lunchtime menu selection. We all went for the fish and chips. Fresh fish, perfectly cooked in a light batter and nicely presented. For pudding our selections included the bakewell tart with clotted cream, the bread and butter pudding with custard... More

Had a good number of meals here with various owners. Present owners offered a limited menu for Christmas but what we had was lovely, hot, tasty and the service was really good. Will return again.

We visited this pub for the first time yesterday and can honestly say we wouldn't go back. The food was overpriced and quite bland. The meals were served at different times so some of the group had to wait for the rest to arrive or appear rude by starting before everyone else. The bar staff seemed uninterested in their jobs...... Please can I politely check that you have reviewed the right Who'd Have Thought It Inn. We genuinely appreciate all reviews, good or bad and take all our reviews seriously, but in this case I'm honestly not sure whether this review is correct. As always, we checked back on all our customers on Saturday and had only positive feedback. We... More
