Used as a meeting place for a hen party! The staff were amazing when I rang to organise, they offered to go buy balloons to decorate the area for us. We did not have to purchase any meals or offers before we arrived, like a lot of other places wanted us to do. Everyone decided what to eat when we... More

The MoCa Bar is actually more of a modern-style pub, not what you would normally call a "bar". It is bright and friendly, the decor simple but attractive, and it appeals more to the clientèle you would normally find in a traditional real ale pub. But since The Railway Hotel is under renovation, the The Boathouse has been turned into... More

We dropped into MOCA by chance, after deciding to go to Matlock for the day. The service was exceptional, the food was some of the best that I have tasted in a pub for a long time. Two kids (7 & 10) were catered for beautifully, with a small Sunday lunch and a beef sarny with extra salad cream!! Sunday... More

Excellent modern bar serving real ales and lagers on tap. Friendly staff, food served and a shortvwalk from the Railway Station.

MoCa is a cracking bar which stands out amongst tough local competition offering a decent range of ales and always have an Oakham, Thornbridge and Kelham brewery ales on. It has a warm atmosphere and each time we go in the staff are friendly and engaging which is why despite living a few miles away it's become one of our... More

We have visited Matlock many times, but this time we found this wonderful pub that has great value food and a fantastic range of beer. The atmosphere is spot-on, and we love the décor. We returned on the New Year Bank Holiday and were pleasantly surprised to find it open with free tables. We will be back!

We stopped off in Matlock not far from our home hoping to find a cafe for lunch and everywhere was packed, we then walked a little further along the road and found this bar with a couple of empty tables, as people had finished their meals and leaving. We popped in and sat, looked at the menu and asked a... More

After a night welcoming the new year we were much in need of some fresh air so we headed off to Matlock Bath. Walking along the river to Matlock we were delighted to find Moca open for business. There is always a great selection of beer and a friendly welcome.

Great for all types of beverages from hot chocolate and latte to real ale and spirits. Especially enjoyed the decor, music and how clean everything was. Great place for a drink and a natter.
