Friendly staff, cosy atmosphere and lovely food - what's not to like. Set on the ground floor of a small building close to the centre of Matlock, this delightful low key cafe/restaurant serves a limited but excellent selection of vegetarian dishes. These are all home made and most are accompanied by an imaginative salad and/or a basket of freshly baked... More

I came in today with my daughter as she's vegan and the atmosphere was beautiful, the staff are very friendly, warm and welcoming and the cafe itself is very homely and comfortable. Even the other people eating around you are so lovely. The food was outstanding and although i'm not vegan nor vegetarian, it has defiantly opened my eyes up... More

I have given this place 5 stars, not because it's glamorous in anyway or because it has particularly good service. (That said, I should mention that the young girl who served us was very nice and attentive) This is a 'homely style vegetarian cafe' that is open during the day, closing at 4pm, with the exception of Friday evenings. The... More

Love that one of our favourite cafes opens late on a Friday night - delicious meal and catered for our gluten free friend really well, tasty salad as always and the stuffed courgette was great.

Nice food but I thought it was overpriced. It came to almost £30 for me and my partner to have lunch, a drink and share an ice-cream. The salad, as other reviewers testify, is wonderful. There is so much variety in there and eating it us like digging for treasure.

Lovely looking menu. Looking forward to a veggie gluten free lunch, but unfortunately not able to cater for my husband's dietary requirements. Such a shame !! The introduction of a simple jacket potato would have solved the problem. We ended up in the Black Cat cafe which was very accommodating.

Thanks for your review :) The laws surrounding Gluten Free foods have changed quite a lot in the past few years. We are not a Gluten Free Certified Kitchen as we handle flour and gluten containing products in our kitchen every hour of every day as we make everything on our menu from scratch on the premises. We offer "gluten... More

We have visited this fabulous cafe many times with family and always enjoy the fresh, wholesome and delicious food. There are two dining rooms, one of which is excellent for children with plenty of toys and books. It can get busy at peak times but always worth the wait for a table. Highly recommended for vegetarians and those seeking something... More
