We went for my daughters birthday and instead of reserving one table we were split between two, not a good start. The boy who came to take our orders did not seem to know what day it was. We had a four year old with us and because it was Sunday lunch there were no children's option. We were expected... More

Visited the pub for lunch before a walk around the local area, and having never visited before myself my first impression was pride and professionalism, waitresses and waiter swiftly walking by each other with pints and plates balanced high, as we mad our way to the airy back room with long Windows and lots of natural sunlight. The table had... More

Not been here since August last year. Andy has left and it's now under new ownership I believe. The food was excellent with the same menu as before, the only real noticeable difference is the staff, the attentiveness to service is poor and you could be waiting sometime before your even given a menu, which we were told we're in... Stopped by randomly for a spot of lunch on a Sunday. Unfortunately (although I can understand why) the menu is quite limited on Sundays but we tried a beef and a lamb roast and both were excellent, well proportioned and very good value indeed. The house wine was also very tasty. We intend to visit again on another day to... More

Lovely location and nice staff. However, staff were very young and not trained. Both nights after a long wait we had to be asked to be served. Breakfast was okish, hot drinks cold, should have meaty sausage instead of chipolata. Fried bread overcooked. Black pudding turned to mush. Dinner was ok albeit the service was bad and it would have... More

Visited recently on a very busy Friday night. Extensive menu plus a specials board. The food is very well cooked and very well presented. The service was good with friendly and efficient staff. The quality of the food I would expect to pay more. Keep up the good work we will be recommending and will definitely return.

Expected a good traditional pub meal but all I got was grease, topped off with some deep fried broccoli.
