7 of us called at this cosy little pub yesterday and despite being very busy, it was the last Friday lunch before Christmas, we got a table and ordered food. Not the cheapest place I've ever been with average price about £12, but when, after...More

We ate as a group for a birthday celebration, the room was lovely, warm and welcoming. Eight of us all chose different main courses and everyone said how tasty the food was and the portions generous. The men in the party were enthusiastic about the...More

Proper quintessential Old English pub with roaring open coal fire and nice selection of beers. Didn’t get chance to eat as finished serving for the day but looking at menu it looks good

Took a chance on getting a table on Saturday evening and yes it was busy with those having a meal and others just for a drink. We seemed to blag the last table in the lounge and enjoyed the real ales. There was a large...More

Am not sure. Most of the pubs in the area are dog friendly but I don't recall seeing any during my visits.
