We ate here twice during our week's stay. A very friendly welcome from the owners and tasty, sensible sized portions of food.

Lovely country pub for lunch with friends visiting from Norfolk, who were really impressed with surroundings, the staff were very friendly and helpful, excellent food using local produce, we will certainly visit again when in the area.

Nice traditional pub with good real ales and a menu featuring lots of local produce. Staff were friendly and accomodating with my wife's allergies, and the home-made rabbit pie is recommended. Worth a visit if you're near Bakewell.

Excellent service, with a small but interesting menu. A large part of the menu was homemade and used local produce. Very friendly and clean.

Not fast food, everything is freshly prepared to order. The rabbit pie is terrific and the home cooked ham is a treat. Great selection of ales and wines. Coffee was a let down, despite a freshly made shortbread.More
