We had a good warming lunch here, after a walk along the Kennet and Avon canal. The day was cold and the soup was very welcome and an interesting flavour.

I used to enjoy the earthiness of this pub before it was refurbished, halved its portions and doubled its prices. I am happy to pay high prices when the food is amazing, but the food here is only really pub standard, portion sizes of fish...More

We've been regular visitors over many years as the pub is in a great location either by boat or on a towpath walk. It used to be an old fashioned pub which had charm and quirkyness (I once got in the way of a waitress...More

As so many people say, this place is in the most beautiful location, so they will probably never be short of customers. It's also very nice inside, but as weary canal boaters it felt a little as if we should have dressed up, the atmosphere...More
