I usually head to The Playhouse to watch football or sport on TV when in Portrush They have several TV's around the place and a large screen showing the live games. The drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere always good. There is often live music in the evenings as well.

Sports/tourist bar that manages to be small and intimate. Great selection of tasty ales. Friendly bar staff and bar. I came in as a quiet stranger and wished I could have stayed for another pint of Maggie's Leap.

We visited here as a group of friends and found the service we received friendly and efficient. The venue did look as though it could be doing with some investment as the decor was tired and worn, however we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would like to compliment the chef on some well cooked home made chips which were very... The interior was drab and dirty looking. especially up stairs, which was a bad start, we should have walked back out.We ordered our meal from a page which had seen better days, menu had a good enough selection. When our food came it was like swimming in sauce in a bowl, so of course the garlic bread was sodden. The bowl was... The interior of the playhouse is lovely, however it has not obtained its true potential. The staff and clientele all look and behave like they are trying to audition for the Jeremy Kyle show. Nightmare experience. It looks good, but sadly it's all fur coat and no knickers.

on arriving we waited 10 minutes before we were seen by a young lady, she was very apologetic and we were shown to our table, menu was reasonably priced with a good selection, so we had to go downstairs to order food and yet again a 10 minute wait was had, the young lady apologised yet again, we didn't have...
