My husband and I had dinner here the night after next course. Food and service were both great. I had the whole fish and my husband had breadfruit mofongo. Food was well prepared. Good wine. The only complaint is the place was shabbier than some other places (for fine dining level place). The chocolate dessert was also amazing!

Elegant seating, professional service. All local or home grown herbs. Lobster bisque and seared scallops were both cooked to perfection. A bit pricey to make it a habit but worth spending a special evening there.

This is the second time we have dined at El Quenepo. I must say the first time ( a year ago) was excellent. However, not impressed with the food this time around. The only thing that was out of this world delicious was the chocolate gelato with toasted marshmallow. I had the whole fish for dinner and it lacked flavor.... More

I had a great experience at El Quenepo a few years back, and it was so good that on this trip to Vieques last week, I hesitated to go because I felt there was no way it could be as good as it had been before. I was wrong. This is a must when you go to Vieques. It is... More

My partner and I just got back from Vieques. We were slightly worried about food options because we recently became vegans. The 1st restaurant we went to was El Quenepo. We asked the hostess if they had anything on the menu that could be veganized and it was clear the waitress didn't quite understand. Luckily for us the amazing waitress... More

Our two dinners here were outstanding and the service far better than one would expect. They have taken a very simple and old building and made it romantic and charming inside - as with most islands , electric will have tendancy to go out so don't pout if you can't get ice cream or frozen desserts. Wines by the glass... More

El Quenepo is a lovely looking restaurant. It's more Key West than Vieques. The food is delicious. But the service is a lot to be desired. I had a fabulous lobster bisque and well prepared ceasar salad, and my husband had the best goat curry he said he'd ever had and he's an authority on goat curries! But, the service... More

Great atmosphere, excellent service (Michelle was super!), creative menu, fantastic food. Definitely pricey, but not bad compared to the other restaurants on the island, and definitely worth it.

This place is a bit out of place in Esparanza. Its fine dining, however its next to all the bars. Given, there's not a lot of places around there, but it can make for a challenging ambiance. We dined here the night of the pre-patrenoles, meaning party party party in the streets. The doors were wide open, since there is... More

...the food was okay, wine was good...but the service was absolutely horrible. At some point my waiter just up and ditched the table all-together, and a blonde woman assisted me in getting dessert and the check. I'm from NY...and I can sniff out when restaurants are "trying" to be something they're not. The entire establishment was completely vacant of any... More
