Service was fine for a busy lunchtime Got a downstairs table, which is a lot better than being shunted up the stairs. Some of the daily specials weren't available which only became apparent after ordering (we were there early too)? Been here before, must be a couple of years ago. Thought the 'classic' burger quality, particularly seasoning and the amount... More

Myself and a friend visited for lunch. I couldn't fault the food. However the service wasn't great. We experienced very slow service and the waiter that sorted our bill made it very obviously that asking for a split bill was a very big inconvenience for him.

I've been wanting to take you boyfriend here for about 6 months. I first came here over a year ago and loved the food, and knew that my boyfriend would too. The decor is rustic, urban and eclectic, housed inside a church with wooden floors and high ceilings. Our main waitress was really a delight. Very friendly not only to... More

Great service, cocktails and probably the best burger over ever had! Didn't realise you could get so many burger combinations, reasonably priced and spacious seating.

My wife & I went to catch a train to Penzance & had just missed it. The next was at 8pm, so we decided to walk back to the City centre to grab some supper & we had heard about the reputation of the Hubbox. It's a modern burger bar serving pulled pork burgers, chicken burgers, vegetarian options as well as drinks,both... More

Cold soggy chips, small hotdog on a piece of paper which cost nearly £6 alone and would of been better getting a £1.50 one from the street! Manager on a complaint was rude and did'nt resolve it, never again.

Our original Truro restaurant was specially converted from a 30 foot shipping container into a fully modern mini-restaurant with seating for 20 inside. The feedback and response from our customers was so great we had to find a bigger more permanent location. We have now relocated to the former chape. Head chef Alex Towill has overseen the menu which includes the Hubbox's popular range of handmade burgers, hot dogs made from 98% free range pork, pulled pork sandwiches and the Hub Big Mack Daddy - crispy Cornish mackerel with shredded beetroot and horseradish mayo. Our menu uses the very best Cornish ingredients in a relaxed quality way and has been winning rave reviews in St Ives, Truro and Exeter. We have now extended the Hubbox menu with a range of BBQ specials slow smoked over hickory wood chips and in Truro we also have a fully stocked bar with an ever changing beer wall of great craft beers and a selection of funky cocktails.
