We called in for some cocktails before dinner at Sams in the City which is basically next door. The drinks menu looked good but the service was painfully slow. When the drinks did finally arrive the cocktails were mostly ice and sugar syrup and the coke in the shorts was flat. However, the venue has great atmosphere, cool decor and... More

Popped in on a dank Jan day, the place is warm, friendly and inviting. Interesting selection of non-alcoholic cocktails, we had mango, lime & gingerbeer it was fab. We chose the soup of the day (butternut squash & chilli) and the meze plate to share. Nice selection all homemade. Would definitely go again.

Sat outside in seating area out front, the street is relatively quiet with minimal traffic and pleasant. Lunch menu was innovative, covering Continental, American, Thai with a fish and chips for those wanting cuisine closer to home. The space in of itself is interesting and is probably more of a night spot.

Called in on the off chance with friends and I'm glad we did. Marinated bavette steak was delicious as well as the burger. The smoky barbecue flavour was just right. We would not hesitate to go back especially to try the cocktails!

A friend and I decided to meet here for a get together after the Christmas and New Year festivities. The staff were so welcoming and the hot chocolate and latte were tasty. I looked at the menu and this will definitely be somewhere to come to for lunch next time. Surroundings are very pleasant but it will be great to... More

I was visiting Truro with family and they suggested The Old Grammar School for lunch as I hadn't been there before. It's a bistro style restaurant with communal seating, visible chef and bar. The attractive waitresses come and take your order when you found somewhere to sit. We were told there was a 30min delay straight away, so no nasty... More

I used to eat and drink here a lot, although haven't for about a year. Came back with my other half and the service wasn't good, and the tapas we had was under par. Either over cooked or generally tasteless. Won't be coming back.
