It is always a pleasure to have lunch at our villa restaurant. Good and healthy food prepared by the chef. Vegetables from his garden.

Selecting a restaurant to celebrate, to say thank you for a special friendship, especially those who have battled cancer and survive, and whom you have the opportunity to see but rarely is not a simple task. Both couples had visited Auberge Saint Martin on numerous occasions individually and with others where the food and service had been to a high... More

We visited the Auberge twice during our fortnight's holiday in France - the first visit was so good that we made a point of returning. We turned up without a booking but there were plenty of tables on both occasions on consecutive Friday nights in July. The open fire cooking used during the summer really appealed to us. The courtyard... More

We went as part of a very large group and had preordered our menu choices. The pea soup was pleasant and the lamb brochettes reasonable, if a little fatty. The rhubarb dessert was nice too, but nothing more than a reasonably good standard in an area blessed with many good restaurants. It was very hot and there was a shortage... More

Lunched twice on the terrace recently . Enjoyed the friendly but efficient service.. Menu in tune with the hot summer, lovely chilled soups, expert use of the BBQ , succulent fish.. Refreshing puddings, ripe local cheeses. Yesterday it was very hot and the system of sending bursts of cold vapours from the tree branches onto the diners was most refreshing.... More

Telephoned at lunchtime to book dinner. No reservation time required (within reason) as table is yours for the evening. Restaurant v busy but service very good. Went for the more expensive of the two menus (35 Euros each) - food and wine was good value and excellent. Best faux filet (sirloin I think!) I've eaten for a while. All main... More

24 Euro menu with 3 courses and 2 choices for each! Not for vegetarians as meat and fish are grilled in a garden oven with no non meat option. Good quality but their competitors offer more choice at a lesser price. The Muscat aperitif was a a delight and the glass of champagne for 10 Euro an excellent tonic!

Situated at one end of the ancient town of Beaufort sits this culinary gem, rich in food, ambiance and hospitality. Plenty of options for vegetarians, fine wine list with local surprises, all the food is expertly executed, the best cheese we tried in France. Service was friendly and very slow (deliberately). The dining room has a cottage, old school feel... More
