5 dishes between 4 of us was way too much. Every dish had its own flavour and it was just incredible.

I had lunch today and had the lamb Tibs served on Injera. The service was quick as l was the first in. The meal itself was fine perhaps a little strong with the lemon juice. The bread was fresh and the beer cold so overall for 20.00 including beer and tip l would say this is a great place for... More

A good selection of authentic food... don't come if you are in a rush... this is not fast food, but traditional food cooked and served authentically. I love the share plate of... More

Cafe Lalibela is a real find. The service is always friendly and the food is consistently good. If you haven't tried Ethiopian food before, why not try the Beyenetu - a taster of several different dishes.

We had a very warm welcome into this simple, clean and unpretentious cafe. The food was really authentic to its origin and it was surprising to find 3 Ethiopian beers and a red wine, which suited the spicy blends in the five dishes we chose. We really enjoyed eating from one common plate of food placed in the centre of the... More

We have been going here for many years. There are a lot of Ethiopian Restaurants in this area, but I find Lalibela simple, but very enjoyable. So cheap and the owner recognizes and acknowledges me every time. If you haven't tried then it's a must for a foodie. BYO wine etc, except beer, but try the Ethiopian beer as it... More

Compulsory dining for the Footscray gourmet! Love this place. Incredible good and wonderful hospitality. Leave the car at home and try the Ethiopian beers. I love this place.

Typical Ethiopian fare (curries served on ingera flat-bread, eat with your hands) nicely prepared. No pressure here - the staff wait behind the bar unless you want something. Three Ethiopean beers of slightly different strengths. Our third time there, and happy each time.
