We booked a table for lunch at this small cafe, and were totally delighted with the service and the food! We each ordered something different: one had meat loaf with mash and salad, one had the chicken and tarragon pot pie with roast potatoes and green...veg, and I ordered the ricotta and asparagus bruschetta (see photo). The coffees were lovely and we agreed we would definitely come again! The sweets were tempting but we were too full to have any more.More

We visited with good friends and appreciated the social distancing and the tasty food 😋 whilst 3 of our group had the meat loaf I choose the apple crumble with mixed berries. My Gran was a cook and I’m usually disappointed BUT on this occasion...I just had the feeling it would be good here ..and it was 😋😋Great memories revived. Many thanks. We can recommend for friendly service & good food.More

It’s ok but could be so much more. If it was like earth walkers in Coledale it would be packed with a queue outside given the location it has

All the dishes we ordered were tasty and even my fussy 9 year old finished her food with no complaints. We had the grilled prawns, zucchini and goats cheese fritters, japanese noodles fritters and ham and welsh rarebit toastie.

The food and specialty milk shake concoctions were amazing. Couple that with a stunning nursery with excellent Australian species and chic gift shop. Went there by accident the first time, and it was so good I took overseas guests there. They were really impressed.

I have had many many meals at The Palms and have never had a meal that I haven't enjoyed. The food is very tasty as well as well-presented. The menu changes, with weekly specials, but some of the favorites stay on the menu in case...you can't cope with change. The service is always friendly and the staff are happy to work in with any dietary requirements, like gluten free restrictions. The fruit smoothies are icy cold and there's plenty of water available. We love going to The Palms - it is our first choice of a weekend.More

This place was a hot mess on arrival, even the most mundane tasks seemed to cause chaos with the staff and kitchen. We arrived with a group of 6 and requested a table outside. There were at least 4 available as they weren’t very busy...however the staff didn’t want to combine two square tables so made us wait 10 minutes for another table that was round shaped to vacate, to seat us. It then took another 10 minutes for them to clean the table and for us to request a second time that the high chair be wiped down. Upon finally being seated almost 25 minutes later we then look at the menu to find the most basic number of meals available and that there were no meals for children or kids menu!?!? When enquiring again with our favourite stressed out waiter about child meals, she went off to never be seen again. One of us eventually got up to speak to another waitress whom informed us that they could make eggs and bacon for the kids. Eventually our original waitress came back and said this wasn’t possible.. at this point in time you could imagine how utterly confused our table was! If we were that confused, I’m unsure how their kitchen functions on a day to day basis? We had a terrible experience here. The wait staff were incompetent, impolite and needed a lot of training. The kitchen was not flexible and he venue in general, is clearly not child friendly. Don’t eat here, go elsewhere. We ended up going up the road and had a much nicer experience at a competing cafe. Stay away from this establishment.More

Had lunch here while we were passing through the area. I tried out the beef brisket roll which was amazingly falvourful. The lamb burger served as a special on the day was also quite good. The burgers are of good size and fill you up...really well. Friendly staff as well.More

If you’re a fan of the the homemade type, you’ll be pleased to drop in to the Palms. Great service even on a busy Saturday lunch time. Matched to a great coffee and lemon grass and ginger tea, it’s a great little spot on this...scenic drive.More
