Richard's continues to be the best shark and bake on Maracas beach! Lovely big pieces of shark and so many condiments to add to your sandwich. Very efficient and fast even when there are a lot of people the line moves quickly and you get...More
So my first time in Trinidad, our tour guide Zairee took us here while at Maracas Beach. The lines were long, which is a good sign. I was reluctant to try, but it was really good. Lines move quickly and the food was tasty!
Served piping hot with several different hot, peppery, spicy sauces, lettuce, tomatoes, pineapple, etc. One bake and shark will be a filling meal for most, but after all those world class sauces, (Trinidad is home to two of the three hottest peppers in the world),...More
Richard’s is right across from the main parking lot and right on the beach. Even though there was a line, the wait wasn’t bad. We quickly got the famous Bake and Shark with fries and there was a good selection of fresh condiments to go...More

This is the only hut we go to for Bake and Shark. It’s always hot and we have never had a bad one. The dressings are amazing, the salad is always fresh and doesn’t look stale. All the best to this establishment!

Yes, it's possible. Takes about an hour and change to get there. An hour back. say you spend an hour at Maracas, you still have a 2 hour buffer. Immigration at Piarco can take an hour or more though, so keep that in mind... More

To go to the beach, I recommend hiring a private taxi from the airport for the round trip. Should be about USD 100-150. renting and driving a car might be a lot cheaper, but i don't know how comfortable you'll be driving on the left side of the road on mountainous narrow roads in a foreign country.
