This was a terrible experience. The share plates are very mean in quantity - 2 platters only enough for two people- $70 plus needed extra bread and crackers another $8. Upon arrival we were dumped at a table with no water caraffe and had to...take one from an empty table. No explanation of how it worked just “use the QR code to order menu is online”. Service is non existent. The only sighting of staff was when delivering the food. We ordered a bottle of wine and a non alcoholic drink for the driver. This was delivered in a bottle and we had to go in search of a glass! We ordered desserts and coffee via the QR code but nothing happened so when investigated it had not gone through so we decided to call it quits and go somewhere else for dessert and coffee and the staff member could not care less - $57 they did not get. Part of the problem seems to be that there are too many people jammed into the venue and no amount of “nice scenery” would entice me back. Plenty of far better places to go!More

Beautiful spot and view. But 1 staff member was a bit rude. I ask how big the plate is , because we had 5 people. She laughed at me and yelled to the back kitchen. They (the customer) thinks this is enough to share. I...was so annoyed 1. I have never been here before so I was only asking 2. If it wasn’t enough then I will get more. She didn’t have to be so rude to my face.More

The wine tasting paddles are just that. A thimble taste. I would say there is about 30 mls in each glass. So you are paying $18 to do a wine tasting. Every other paddle I have ever had has at least 100 mls or a...decent size pour. The $35 meat plate is actually $39 because you have to order more bread. But this is a common trap for meat/cheese boards. You even do the ordering yourself from QR codes. So the staff aren’t doing much. The platters aren’t that labour intensive. I don’t understand the pricing module. Total rip off.More

We had the Farmers Lunch, grazing platters were good but not enough food for the cost, desserts were disappointing, the meringue was rock hard and the parfait was frozen. On being seated we were told quite offhandedly to use the QR reader for the menu....I know you're busy but a smile takes no time. We waited 30mins for our order to be taken and then 30mins later were told we had 20mins to vacate our seats for the next sitting! We won't be back and would not recommend. Be aware there is a very steep path from the upper carpark, elderly and infirm would find it difficult.More

Way overpriced for quality of food and wine. 15% service charge for Sunday. Hefty cancellation cost unless you give at least 48 hour notice. Asked to leave after 90 minutes to make way for next sitting. Never again.

We were extremely disappointed in the lack of contact from Green Olive concerning our cancellation. We made an online lunch booking, and unfortunately had to cancel due to our overseas guests transport issues. We followed the email cancellation procedure and also called (no one ever...answers the phone, EVER!) We notified Green Olive of our cancellation with plenty of time for the table to be rebooked. It was a perfect day and I'm sure the table was filled easily. Even with plenty of notification we were charged over $100 for our cancellation! We have repetitively called and emailed to discuss this with Green Olive and have had NO contact from them what so over! Appalling! Please be warned that the booking system is robotic and you won't get to speak to a human. So very disappointing. We won't be recommending Green Olive to anyone and will never return after this experience. My advise is DO NOT book online or visit Green Olive. Green Olive this unfair cancellation penalty system will do more harm than good.More

In December 2019 whilst shopping at Chadstone, I impulsively purchased my husband a $180 voucher for a Green Olive pasta making course (Green Olive had a pop up store). Covid hit, and of course there were no pasta making courses during 2020 & 2021. In...fact I would occasionally look on the website during 2022 and I could not see any scheduling of pasta making courses. So this week we contacted Greg at Green Olive, and we have been informed 'This has expired by more than 3 years nothing we can do'. We find this response really perplexing - you can simply honour the voucher and the $180.00 spent. Covid has been difficult for many people, and my husband, who also works in hospitality, has made the decision to actively honour all past vouchers/deposits - in fact chasing people to help them come back and use their deposits/vouchers. We value businesses that value their customers, demonstrate integrity. We'll be giving Green Olive a wide berth.More

A delicious lunch with family and great activities for the kids was soured by haphazard service. Drinks arrived 25 mins after food platters arrived. Coffees arrived much later than desserts. “We’re very busy,” said the waiter, but they weren’t, really, they were disorganised. A shame.

Awful experience here, totally ruined our day. It was really busy and difficult to find a table. After ordering and paying at the counter realised I had given the wrong table number and told a server. Saw our platter being delivered to the table next...to us, they were really nice and gave it to us after I explained. I followed the person who delivered - actually think it was the owner and tried to explain my mistake, she was really rude and unhelpful, basically shrugging me off when I asked what to do and said I could ask the other waitresses about our bottle of wine, which I did. A manager then came out and essentially just said its too bad, I said the wrong table number and they gave our bottle of wine to another table and it's our fault. Felt so upset and unwelcome and wanted to leave but was informed they don't have take away containers. Left in tears, after paying $100 for nothing but a stressful, rude and helpful experience.More

Greeted by a young staff member on our arrival for the 11.45 am first siting,he show us to our seats next to where two dogs were at their owners table.no offence against dogs but dogs should not be any part of eating area, yes it...was the outside part of the building, with some open plastic window cover. Notice the property dog 🐶 was wandering in the main building. I was biting by a dog at a young age. The dogs were calm but it's not appropriate for them to be near us while we ate. 🐶 🐶 The service by most staff including the owner, women in the vest and guy wearing cats geelong colours were incredible busy but there was no nice Service here, that lady with vest was rude when I asked about if I could ordered one soup? No it comes in two and you can eat both bowls was her reply!! Hmmm that's not nice and there was no customers service here by any staff at all, which I found annoying! Order at the table and pay the bill and eat and leave with no goodbye by staff, except one nice young girl said thank you. You could hire one person to walk around and makes sure all guests are settle, happy and just be there so they can ask staff a question regards menu, seating, wines etc. The wine paddle was nice $18 🍷 good quality wine. The platters were $35 not much salami, etc two people to share. Orders the soup platter, nice but they gave us teaspoon to eat our soup. 😂 lol. Had to ask for larger spoon. Overall the property is lovely, food quality is good, more quantity would be great. $119.00 for two person, left a bit empty tummy.... I did love the vegetable garden ,fresh produce was what made me book here at Olive Grove. Guests need to control children running in the eating area, his is not expectable when others dinners are eating. Yes my kids are adults now, I wouldn't let my kids run around inside a winery or any where for that matter.More

What a great day for a guided tour of the farm with Greg. We saw ducklings, dogs, a puppy, native herbs, trees, the greenhouse and learned lots about the farm and its surroundings. And the food.... AMAZING. Our 10 month old has never eaten so...much lunch as today. He loved the tour and the food as much as his parents. I am going to recommend the Green Olive to everyone who would ask for recommendations on the Peninsula. And to Sue's parents, our little man loved you two!More
