My Gladstone experience started very badly as (my biggest pet peeve) the bar maid failed to say hello or acknowledge my existence for a good few minutes - even though the bar was quiet - just because she was pouring a couple of drinks. This was later rescued when the manager appeared instead of her and as I had just... More

Great value and quality along with lots of food. I just had a main course and did think about dessert but just had no room! It seems to be verging on gastro pub quality but with out the pretense!

We had lunch here for the first time today, having been told it is very good - and it is. My husband had ham, egg and chips (£7.95) and I had the Welsh cheddar and leek tart and chips, which at £12.95 I thought a bit pricey, however it was lovely and the chips were proper homemade ones. The décor... More

Met friends here for Sunday lunch. Couldn`t find fault with anything, Service was impeccable and food fabulous. This was our first visit and we would definitely recommend the place.

We arrived just after the restaurant had closed. Bar staff went into the kitchen as long as we chose quickly we would be accommodated. We went for ham and eggs with chips, something not too difficult. While waiting had a Latte each which for a change was hot, not the insipid warm we get elsewhere. Always been told cannot give... A nice pub with a decent menu but expensive for what it is. We paid north of £30 for a simple bar meal which was ok but nothing special. The Sunday dinner on the other hand we found good value .

I've eaten here a few times and haven't had a bad experience yet. The staff are friendly. The food is good quality, and came quickly. There is a good selection of drinks, including real ales. There is lots of seating indoors and outside, with a lovely sea view from the beer garden. It is wheelchair accessible. It isn't the cheapest... More
