We arrived just after the restaurant had closed. Bar staff went into the kitchen as long as we chose quickly we would be accommodated. We went for ham and eggs with chips, something not too difficult. While waiting had a Latte each which for a change was hot, not the insipid warm we get elsewhere. Always been told cannot give... A nice pub with a decent menu but expensive for what it is. We paid north of £30 for a simple bar meal which was ok but nothing special. The Sunday dinner on the other hand we found good value .

I've eaten here a few times and haven't had a bad experience yet. The staff are friendly. The food is good quality, and came quickly. There is a good selection of drinks, including real ales. There is lots of seating indoors and outside, with a lovely sea view from the beer garden. It is wheelchair accessible. It isn't the cheapest... More

Lovely setting on the Sychnant Pass with good views. We have been here many times and found that the staff to be friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is always relaxed. There is a fixed menu and the food is good but unfortunately, vegetarian options are really limited. Our last experience last Sunday evening, we were told that they stopped... More

I was part of a group of 4. It was a walk in last sunday, for lunch. I had a three course meal for £16.95. The staff were very presentable, helpful and friendly. I had the soup tomato and pepper which was delicious. It came with ciabbatta bread warm. I then had the beef. It was cooked perfectly, the beef... More

If your calling past the Gladstone put your brakes on and pull into the car park. If you have a friendly dog like we do, you can take dog inside with you. The staff can't do enough for you, really lovely staff specially the small blonde girl who has a spaniel. Food is home cooked and fresh and beautiful. And... More

We were on holiday in the area and called in - fortunately it was a Thursday which is their Steak night. Our orders came exactly as requested - medium rare and were every tasty. Will certainly remember when next in the area - just off J16 of A55 and sharp turn left.
