Greek law is very clear: they MUST give access to public bathers. But they occupied the whole public beach for they own private profit, which is totally illegal and pretend to force citizens to pay.
Greek beaches, whether private or public, are required by law...to provide access to all bathers, according Greece’s main consumers group, EKPIZO. According to EKPIZO’s statement this week: “All beaches are communal and as such free access is allowed to all citizens. Organized beaches should provide free space for other bathers.”
EKPIZO goes on to note that even in cases of the so-called “organized beaches” – offering umbrella and F&B services – free space must be available for bathersMore
Food is good but way overpriced. Waiters are bored, kind of rude and cocky. Service is very slow given the fact it was not crowded at all. Lots of single use plastics, tons of it. Beach itself is great but there's no free area so...you have to pay €8 for sunbeds and umbrella. As I said, it's a money machine.More
Nice beach, nice restaurant, good food, but the staff at the beach is awful! Especially the men that make the reservations for the umbrellas. Very rude, impolite. We got at the beach at 12 o’clock. There was 2-3 free umbrellas at the front row. We...put our towels there and one of them come to tell us that we can not sit there because we are with children! He wanted to move us on the last row (don’t know why). He made us moving all the things, and a baby in a very rude manner. That’s the reason we won’t go to Manassu anymore. Definitely not recommend!More
place is quite nice BUT: no wifi (probably the only restaurant in the world with no wifi) and bad mobile signal, not cheap at all, part of the food I eat was not well cooked (I told them and did not care), delayed serving (and...we are in covid times so not so crowded), I was not allowed to put a gonflable sunbed next to the beach beds I paid for to them. So, 1 family that will not come here again...More
The beach is situated in a little bay and set into a pine valley. On one side you get a view of the crystal clean shinny blue-smerald sea and Mt Athos, and if turn your head, you can admire the pine hills behind. Chilling music....You will find there a beach restaurant - it is really gurmet! Offers fresh daily fish, high selection of daily dishes and fixed menu. I personally loved their octopus with eggplant, steamed mussles and tuna tartare. Stuff very professional and welcoming. We came back there 3x during my stay in Sithonia. PS I suggest to book in advance :)More
Whatever you are looking for, it is sure you will found it here. A complete, well-made beach bar in a beautiful environment with great service and really reasonable prices. The road was accessible and there was a private parking to use free of charge. Plus...their music choices where excellent.
Would totally recommend it.More
Me and my wife had a chance to visit Manassu quite often this summer. It’s easily the best place in the area - sandy beach, relaxing music and a lovely restaurant. Its biggest plus, however, are the people working here - always nice, smiling and...accommodating. We wish to mention a few special ones - Sergios, Yanis, Fani, Marios, Nikos, Apostolis and Stelios. Huge thanks for always making us feel welcome, joyful, well fed and safe at the beach. You made our stay at Manassu truly amazing with your kind attitude and great recommendations. We are happy to call you our friends now.More
Situated in a lovely bay with hills around it, offers great sea, excellent service, polite people and a gourmet restaurant. Even the bread was perfect let alone the fish and meat... Need to book an umbrella by the sea.
