Had lunch here today and was absolutely delicious. The pub itself was extremely quiet but the owner was really friendly and made us feel welcome. We ordered the steak and ale pie and giant hadddock, both served with home made chips and peas. The meals were both so tasty and so obviously home made. The crust topped pie was packed full... More

we did eat in this pub twice while we stayed in the lodge, both times we enjoyed the food, i would say though sunday lunch could do with giving a lot more portion size, my partner liked the beer ale, said it was very nice overall very friendly staff

Very cosy and friendly pub. The food is really really nice. The drinks are all cheap and the food doesn't cost much. Nice and warm inside.

Outside: well presented Inside: great atmosphere, friendly staff welcoming Drink: lovely kept and well presented Food: I had burger and chips, the burger was pink which I am fine with but should have been asked. Chips had too much oil in them.

Stayed here in New Year's Eve as we were visiting friend who were staying close. This pub is absolutely lovely. Landlord and landlady couldn't do enough for us. Entertainment on New Year's Eve was good. Breakfast was superb. We stay in a room 2. And the room was clean warm and had everything you need. It was small but you... More

Went to this place on a cold wet Saturday afternoon. With my friend. I had sausage and onion with pickled onion gravy and my friend had roast beef with horseradish and gravy, both were served in hot ciabattas and they were absolutely gorgeous. She had been there the previous week and had stopped for lunch after a nine mile walk... More

Wow! Absolutely amazing Sunday dinner! The Yorkshire puddings were superb! You could tell everything was home cooked And for a great price, £15.95 for 3 courses! As a table of 6 we had the lamb, beef, pork and turkey which were all perfectly cooked! Lovely staff and atmosphere in the pub. Definitely recommend coming here for a meal!
