About time Hallowed Grounds had an up to date review. There were four of us in a family group this morning. There was a constant flow of customers so obviously a very popular Cafe.
I ordered Pancakes and it was an extraordinary work of art. Pancakes, caramelised banana, blueberries, strawberries and kiwi fruit, icecream, maple syrup, whipped mascarpone, all topped with pink spun sugar - looking and tasting like fairy floss.
The other meals were demolished without a murmur of compaint. Portions were almost too generous. Staff were efficient and friendly.
Yes we will be back, and where else have I ever seen sparkling water on tap for free?
Well done to all involved at this tried and true local cafe.

This is a take away coffee but the friendly service draws you in for a nice chat. I came for a latte, which was served piping hot and left feeling connected to barista. She was a really fantastic person. They also have nice take away cakes and pastries. If you want, you can sit in the courtyard.

We love our coffee are fairly regular customers. Tried many cafes in the area but none match this place. Always consistent good food and service. Almond croissants are to live for.

Absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is great, very friendly and quick service despite being busy. But the reason for my 5 out of 5 is the great tasting food and interesting menu. I’ve been here twice and both times food tasted great!

Wonderful spot bringing art and character with a large menu!
good spot to log onto Wifi also lovely friendly and accepting people here

The coffee was nice but 25 mins is really too long to wait. It was reasonably busy which suggests to me that you need more staff. Perhaps consider two people on the coffee machine. I have seen other places do this so I can be done.
Also the emphasis seems to be on serving takeaways more quickly. I saw people who came after me leaving with their coffee.
This is the second time I have had to wait 20/25 mins. Maybe time I looked elsewhere.

I don't get to Mount Gravatt like I used to so when I was there today I had to visit one of my old favourite coffee shops.
It is fair to say that it had changed a bit and now was bigger but the coffee was still as good as ever.
I decided that it was time for some lunch before I got caught up in some other work and I ordered a Bacon, Avocado and Chicken Baguette.
Sadly it was so disappointing! There was a good amount of bacon but the chicken appeared to have been sliced on the machine that I get my ham sliced at the deli and there was very little in the way of avocado. The biggest disappointment was the baguette itself which did not taste fresh and I ended up only having two small bites out of it.
Really disappointing for somewhere that I was looking forward to going back to

We called in to Hallowed Ground for a quick lunch. The menu was fairly limited but had some interesting items with gluten free options for my wife. The service was friendly and prices were reasonable. Food was well presented and enjoyable. Good cafe with a nice vibe.

Found it difficult to find a cafe open on a Sunday. Driving past we found this little gem. Would have given 5 stars but as we walked in no one actually made contact with us no good morning or hello or even eye contact as they walked past.
They were busy so the food and drinks did come out a little slow. The food was delicious fresh and full of flavor.
We will go back again as the menu had so many choices we just couldn't decide, we want to try them all

Whilst in Brisbane visiting from Sydney, we drove past this cafe and noticed it was busy. My mother is GF intolerant, this cafe has many options for her. We eventually ordered the scrambled eggs on toast with feta. Amazing flavour, cooked well and s very generous serving.
I highly highly recommend supporting this local business.

Best coffee in the area, great menu, friendly staff, can’t beat this one in Mt Gravatt! Be sure to sit out the back in summer, lovely cool leafy spot. Happy to be a regular here :-)

Had a few breakfast's here and the service is always friendly and efficient AND most importantly, the coffee is great!! There's a good variety of food available that should suit most people. It can get pretty crowed early in the morning so get in early!!
