Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The service here was amazing especially by a young man by the name of kyle. He was cheerful and gave the best service I've had in a long time.

Ask for Kyle, he's the best waiter. He gave us a great service with a smile and made my day. Great employee you have.

What a special place this cafe is! Came upon it by chance and so glad curiosity got the better of me. Varied menu with something for everyone including my vegan wife and daughter. Our 5 meals were all delicious! Young children are well catered for....We saw many happy youngsters in the play areas out the front, the back and inside as well! And what a treat it was when some horse riders 'parked' their horses in the horse corrals out the back. We enjoyed our visit here so much that we're planning our next trip to coincide with a bike ride along the Warburton Trail. Oh, there's plenty of space to park your bike along with parking off the main road.More

Not a busy morning, our coffees came quickly, but our meal timing was all over the place. We had to ask for our last two meals and the waiter brought them out ten minutes after that with no apology. Anyone can own a cafe, but...not everyone can run a cafe....More

Unfortunately we are not always made aware that customers are in the same group when they order separately. We do our best to get meals out to large groups within a tight timeframe Communication is the key with larger groups.

A nice stop on the Rail Trail, well worth a stop. Nice atmosphere, includes a play area for kids and a nice outdoor section

Very little crowd on that winter Sunday we went, yet a very long wait to be served. An hour later, my daughter finally had her sausage roll! It’s nice to be served together, but perhaps the basics should be applied when it comes to serving...kids…first. As a matter of fact, all basics should be applied, especially hygiene ones when it comes to serving food to the general public. I so wish I didn’t see a few of the kitchen staff go in and out of the kitchen to go pet a horse in the back garden, …and eventually see one of the chefs take off his apron and go ride away on that same horse!! But perhaps that explains the wait for our brunch… I also wish the teen at the counter didn't touch his nose when taking my order, or that the big vegan cake on that same counter was covered with a protection glass. I won’t mention the multigrain off the shelf and I won’t mention the yellow decorative paste on the side of the plate with a crust on, giving it a different colour to the hollandaise sauce. Was that decorative crust, hollandaise sauce? Was it not? I will never know, I didn’t try it. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs was quite good though. And the coffee too. The bacon did have a funny taste. Overall, needless to say, next time I’ll have bacon and eggs at home with a proper bakery sourdough bread slice. It’s really sad to see that over the years, owner after owner, this coffee, being in such a great location is just not getting it. I really hope this review helps you improve because Mt Evelyn people do deserve a local hub where to get decent food and service.More

A very good looking cafe. Unfortunately looks can be deceiving. Looked like the staff couldn't cope in a half full cafe. Ordered the Vegan Trail Brekky (VE,GFO) Toasted sourdough with avocado, house made, baked beans, grilled mushrooms, blistered cherry tomatoes, hash brown and wilted spinach....Unfortunately got cheap off the self packet sliced multigrain. When I told the waitress she replied "I would know but sorry anyway" on a more positive note it only took 30 minutes to be served and my wife's breakfast took an extra 10 minutes. Very poor service and not delivering the Vegan Brekky that is stated on the menu.More
