My wife and I have been visiting Alpino Vino for years. We thoroughly enjoy the five course paring of Italian wine with the Italian cuisine. This New Year's Day, we invited some friends to join us and they were amazed. The snowcat ride up the mountain was warm and comfortable. Our servers Daniel and Luke greeted us with big smiles... This restaurant evokes European skiing (as someone who has done a fair bit of skiing in France and Switzerland am serious!) and has a great atmosphere. The wine list and the wine choices are great. And the food is tasty. Service was really slow but every one of the staff is very pleasant. It gets cold if you are not... More

We are typically a family that carries a back pack full of sandwiches for lunches on slopes-this was a memorable exception! Nestled near the top of the mountain with outdoor seating managed with heat lamps and big blankets. Paninis, grilled cheese and soup tasted great but not sure you should ever pay $26 for a grilled cheese! However, if looking... More

WOW! Gorgeous little chalet style restaurant with REAL coffee and the best menu I've seen on the mountain. The price is also something to be aware of as its very expensive ($8USD for a cuppa ..) We ordered the special which was a pork sausage panini with caramalised onion, seeded mustard and cooked to perfection. YUM! It's big enough to... More

This is a restaurant marketed for foodies. $150 per person, plus $125 for the high end wine tasting menu. $550 before tip. (We didn't do our research well enough and were shocked at bill paying time!) They say "all three of the servers are somaliers", but they couldn't pronounce common french and italian varietals. It was more like they were... More

If you want that European ski atmosphere, then this is the quintessential ski lunch spot. Dining outdoors, watching the other skiers fly by, sipping wine with friends... what could be better? We love it here, and always make it a point to stop here for lunch while skiing. It's just down the See Forever run (a blue slope), and easy... More

This is certainly a unique experience. We have a lovely meal with great wine pairings. We are here for dinner and waited for the rest of the people dining at the same time that evening to arrive at the top of the gondola at Allred's restaurant (there is a desk for Alpino Vino right as you walk in) and then... Amazing food in a cool cabin at almost 12,000 feet...it doesn't get much better than this. I do not exaggerate, when I say that this could be my favorite restaurant on Earth. Every year I'm so excited to get back to Telluride and enjoy a grilled cheese with tomato soup and good Italian wine. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it... More

Telluride has many great dining choices but, for a really memorable day on the slopes I highly recommend Alpino Vino located off See Forever run. For one, the views never stop, it's way up on the mountain, elv is almost @ 12,000 ft....it's a quaint cabin with nice deck, absolutely breathtaking views in every direction... wonderful wines and dishes to... Originally a private retreat built on a historic mining claim, this new addition to Telluride’s award-winning restaurants is a quaint European hütte perched near the top of Gold Hill. With hand-hewn beams and furniture crafted from reclaimed wine barrels, Alpino Vino provides a high alpine ambience and is reminiscent of restaurants found throughout the Dolomites of Northern Italy. Inside, a warm and inviting atmosphere, complete with a wood burning fireplace, stone floors and exposed wood beams, provides a perfect retreat from the slopes.Situated at 11,966’, Alpino Vino offers fantastic views of the Wilson Range. The expansive multi-tiered deck is a truly unique spot to enjoy a glass of wine with its European teak furniture, coveted daybed and comfortable sheepskin throws. An outdoor wine bar offers a spectacular setting for a midday escape. To visit Alpino Vino during the ski season, take Gold Hill Express (Lift 14) and turn left off the lift to ski down See Forever to our front door.Come enjoy the unique experience that is Alpino Vino!
