A country pub, cosy and traditional. Had dinner here and the starters were large (!) and could quite easily have been halved without any problem. My main course, fish and chips, was very good. No room left for dessert. Good attentive service. Was quite busy on a Thursday evening - good to see. In 1977, my first date with my... More

Beautiful pub, friendly staff and incredible food at reasonable prices. If you haven't eaten here before, I'd strongly recommend giving it a try - you won't regret it!

Regularly come here after a dog walk (pooches are welcome in the bar area) tasty food and friendly staff. The pistachio and feta dip is a firm favourite of mine. Lovely country feel, comfy sofas and a gorgeous fireplace. Have been before on a fairly busy lunchtime and the guy who I think runs it was understaffed and serving and... More

If you ever have cause to complain be sure to never speak to Paul. Quite possibly the most unhelpful and arrogant person in the industry. If you go there make sure you never have the misfortune to talk to him. This used to be a good place to eat but since he has been there it is rapidly running downhill.... More

Warm welcome from the staff even though no booking so glad they could accommodate the four of us on a busy sunday evening. After a long day out we needed feeding! Good menu choice and hot tasty food served promptly - sirloin roast went down well as did chicken chasseur. Seems to be well frequented and a little gem tucked... More

Four of us and our grandchild in his car seat had a birthday lunch here (my birthday, my choice). I was not disappointed. The staff were lovely. Efficient and friendly. We sat in the comfy chairs in the bar area before being shown to our table in the restaurant. Three of us had G & T's! Lots of craft gins... More

Dined early on a Sunday evening. The menu was fantastic, the spiced feta dip for the bread was very good. Lovely ambience and the room was decorated very well. Mains were great accompanied by a nice bottle of red. Will definitely return soon.
