We had been told that Segur le Chateau was a pretty village to visit so thought we should go along to see for ourselves; we went one Sunday afternoon and were not disappointed. Approaching from the South East you enter the village alongside the l’Auvezère river and you are initially struck by the wide East bank in front of what... More

Amazing food cooked by a top chef. The only challenge is deciding what to eat as everything is so delicious. Really recommend the trout, the duck and the steak. The desserts are fabulous and beautifully presented. The setting is gorgeous..... The best place to eat in this region by far!

Overlooking the river, this simple little restaurant is mostly outdoor seating which in the summer is delightful. The food was excellent with large portions. Duck, veal, and trout recommended. The village is a gem and worth walking around.

Just to prove it can be done. This year the chef is English and she is superb. The mushroom sauce that came with the veal was sublime and the ris de veau was truly terrific. It is worth coming to this village just for a meal let alone the Monday night market and the lovely old buildings. Best to book... More

We stopped in this charming village for lunch and, dodging the showers, found this lovely restaurant. It was empty when we arrived but we were shown to a table and given the menu. The phone rang asking if a party of eight could be accommodated and they soon arrived. Another group of three arrived and we surprised to find that... More

Where to start?? Staff are very friendly and do speak a little English ( not important for me) but they genuinely made an effort. The food is regional with locally sourced products. The portions are very generous and the quality of the meats is outstanding! Local wine is sold by the carafe and we noticed that the locals were all... More
